on a world class level.... Elite soccer players have better footwork than the elite boxers. Elite basketball players (pg's) have faster hands than the elite boxers. Get over it.....when compared to other athletes from other sports, boxers aren't the best of the best in every athletic category. I agree with the first one, even not so awesome soccer players have faster legs than most boxers, but I don't think that elite basketball players have faster hands than elite boxers, in this one I think it could be pretty even or boxers having faster hands. It's just not the same because in soccer you have to do dribbling with the legs and for making fast feints and sprints with the ball you must have really fast legs. However in basketball there's no need for extremely fast hands since basketball-type dribbling consists more on using the entire body and changing the direction on the ball, not just moving the ball really fast.

There are 2 guys I'll just throw out there since we're on the subject of basketball players. someone mentioned Charles Oakley but don't forget about his NY Knick teammate Anthony Mason. Dude was always pissed off and had muscles on his muscles. I think dude's toes were ripped. He coulda done some damage in the ring. There was also Kendall Gill who actually had a few pro fights after his basketball days were over. Great athlete and probably coulda been a good heavyweight with that reach. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

What gives you the slightest indication that elite basketball players have faster hands than boxers? The way they catch a basketball? The way they take swipes at basketballs? What? That's like saying Cristiano Ronaldo, who has easily faster feet and legs than most guys in the world, could have good footwork in boxing. BTW Ronaldo is also a genetically gifted athlete, but that doesn't mean that just because he's fast he could do great things in boxing. I think you misunderstood my comment. I simply stated the basketball players with the best chance to make it in the sport....relative to other basketball players. Hell they could all be complete sh1t, however I like guys like Oakley and Iverson chances more than someone like lebron james.
