So they paid someone to get hurt? Honestly, what's the point in that.
He was in a tournament with the best boxers in his division and he fakes some injury to get out of it.
That's what happens most of the time in the sport. Most fights are gimmies, tune ups, guys brought in to pad a fighter's record or make him look good. Fights where you got elite vs elite are rare.
The thought of him trying to touch gloves never occurred to me until reading this thread. I always thought Cunningham was just pawing out his jab. :dunno:
Oh well, still a sick KO. :D
Is it just me or does Cunningham look like he was going to touch gloves and then Andre just blasts his face?
what the hell is he trying to touching gloves with a guy that is looking to finish him off?
this is a damn professional boxing match
so what would people have said if bute fought dirrell or ward before the super 6?
He didn't so this is irrelevant.
what if bute accepts his challenge and the fight still doesnt happen due to politics? then what?
I'll give him credit for trying even if the fight doesn't happen. As long as Bute makes a good effort to fight Dirrell and gives him a reasonable offer then that's all you can ask for.
dirrell quit against abraham. and abraham is a bum. he was gonna knock dirrell out. sure dirrell looks good against D-level fighters and slow ass guys like froch and abraham (until they quit). but what's he gonna bring to the table for another quick guy? probably nothing. i wonder what dr. shaw hi thinks??
Abraham was undefeated and everyone was praising him as a monster coming off the Jermain Taylor ko. Dirrell whipped him convincingly and was the first to expose him.
You say that Froch is a slow-ass guy that is easy to look good against. So if Bute fights and beats Froch you won't be overly impressed, right?

yep, but the ref said 'box' and was looking right at the action, don't like Dirrell but what he did there is within the rules

LMAO. You're a retard. Abraham wasn't even close to knocking Dirrell out, he hadn't landed a single punch in the round before he threw the cheap shot.
It's funny that a moron like you would say something about Dirrell possibly being knocked out when Bute himself was KTFO by a legal blow by Librado Andrade and ended the fight being unable to walk back to his corner under his own power.
so what would people have said if bute fought dirrell or ward before the super 6?

Politics as in Bute refusing to fight outside of Montreal and wanting to keep 75% of the purse like every other fight of his entire career?
That's not called politics, it's called a protected fighter who is scared of a challenge.
Bute wants to get Froch in there as Froch is coming off a loss and Bute loves to fight guys with 0 defensive skills as evidenced by his resume which carries the name of every face first fighter in the division.
The Super Six is over, stop bringing it up as an excuse. Dirrell has called out Bute: will Bute accept his challenge?

why? bute wasn't invited to the super 6. if bute had fought 17-0 dirrell and andre ward who hadn't fought anyone besides OMG EDISON MIRANDA what would you guys be saying? he picked on green and inexperienced fighters??

did dirrell KO him and sucker punch him like that because of black guilt?? did he viciously punch another black man because he himself doesn't like being black and/or feels guilty about his people complaining if there isnt at least one black person in a commercial or tv show?
are these kind of match-ups killing boxing?
Awesome Awesome
A guy like Bute won't even fight Dirrell. Despite being called out by him.

All that excessive touching gloves is just a ploy to stall for time. The ref said fight not make out or grab a$$. Do you guys really want to see fighters do like Mosley and touch gloves 200 times during a fight to try to stall?
i think in all fights, you should only be allowed to throw 30 punches per round.
I saw that shot coming a mile away. A guy like bute would put this bum in a bodybag.
Hell, bute would probably out-slick this "slickster"

Hey I am perfectly fine with that, I was just curious if I was seeing things.
