Does Floyd Mayweather have an unusual reach?

It's quite long yes but nothing unusual.

The more difficult to believe stat for his height is the 26" from armpit to end of fist. Same as Paul Williams and W. Klitschko. If so, that's pretty unusual. True that's a lot more unusual than his 72" reach. But his chest isn't as big as those guys, so his reach isn't as big.

You can find a lotta roughly 5'8" boxers with a roughly 72" reach. Mayweather's reach is a little disproportionately long, but not unremarkable.

It's long, but not absurd or unprecedented for 147. SSM reach is actually longer, someone pointed out punisher and i'm sure there is a host of others like ODLH, SRL, SRR, Hearns etc who all have long reach. The most absurd reach vs height is Sonny Liston.

Sonny Liston: 6 foot 1/2, 84 inches reach. Vitali Kltischko: 6 foot 7 1/2, 80 inches reach. Wow.

They use the old school reach finger tip to finger tip. Yea Floyd does have a long reach for his size because he is only 5'8" or 68 inches tall, I believe average wing span is equal to ones height, so Floyd has the wing span of a six foot guy on his 5'8" frame.
