Pacquaio started pro boxing at the age of 16, he put metal objects on his pocket just to make weight as he was too light to fight at 106, you should also know he was fighting full grown adult boxers. By the age of 24 Pacquaio was already a 3 divisons champ, a 2 lineal champ and a champ at the young age of 19. He beat the WBC Flyweight champion, lineal champ Sasakul at the age of 19, beat the 122 IBF champ rising star Hand of Stone Lebwaba and destroyed The Ring Magazine champ, 126 lineal champ Baby Face Assasin Barrera. Can't you see the greatness in him even such a young age or he just a media created hype job and overrated as what some Pac haters here trying to fool us? By the age of 30, he was already a 7 divisions champ and 4 lineal champ who fought between 106-147. So those people who thought Pac is overrated and media created hype job, will you tell us which current fighter who you thought is not overrated and resume wise are more succesful than Pacquaio as I stated above.
his welterweight run is nothing short of a joke. But that does not include the great things he has done at 140 & below. Because he has been stellar below 147.
His fights at welterweight against Cotto and solidified it against Clottey are pretty much legit to me. Often forgotten, Pacquaio is a small fighter who moved up facing these highly rated bigger boxers in their own weight division should count for something.
Exactly, it was a ghost town. beating the big names, that were already old, weightdrained, or ran through already doesn't make him the beast that you or any other of his fans claim. Not when fighters like Ward are pounding out dominating wins in weight classes as stacked at 168 over prime elite fighters. Good clarification & even borderline self ownage, thanks alot.
Pacman is an atg, we do not disagree there. But he is overrated by the majority of his fans. He's not top 10, boxers cause him a world of trouble & his welterweight run is nothing short of a joke. But that does not include the great things he has done at 140 & below. Because he has been stellar below 147.
Exactly, well put sir.
Welterweight was a ghost town when Manny moved in, or at least it looked that way since he steamed rolled through all the big names in the division.
His goal at WW is to get a big payday against Floyd, but unbeknownst to everyone, he was able to taste the same fame and fortune that only Floyd was privileged to and hence delaying the inevitable.

As I said Morales and Marquez are HOF fighters. Pacquiao losing to them is not like Pacquiao lost big time to a bum fighter and that makes him a bum fighter as well as what most of Pac haters trying to portrait here.

Pac is a great fight, has a HOF ATG resume, and is one of the best we have seen. He is only overrated in the sense that some of you retards think he is top 5 or 10 ATG which he simply is not.
Some people think Pac is no1, let alone no5. Some think SRR is no1, and some people dont think that. Depends on who is doing the rating. But everyone is overated in some peoples opinions.

Paper titles for a paper champ like Manny mean nothing. When Mayweather gives his hype job a serious boxing lesson, you'll realize why Mayweather surpasses and leaves Manny behind. A lot of places have already placed Mayweather at pound for pound #1 and he hasn't even whooped Manny yet. It simply goes to show you that people have caught on.
Oh! Another coulda, woulda, shoulda in fantasy fight from you. How about some reality and facts here. Will you tell us what Floyd did in 112, 122, 126, 130, 135, 140, 147, 154? I'll be waiting.
NO. Floyd beating Pacquiao doesn't mean Floyd inherited Pacquiao's 8 divisions titles and 4 lineal titles who fought in pro boxing from 106 up to 154. You have to earn it by yourself. Floyd can beat Pacquiao but Pacquiao will still consider greater than him unless he surpass Pacquiao accomplishment.

I wouldn't say pac is a media hype creation but I think JMM and Floyd are a bit better.
Hopefully the Floyd thing will be settled this year before both men can slip from being on top of their game.
NO, Floyd and JMM is no better than Pacquiao. Floyd beating Pacquiao doesn't mean Floyd will inherit Pacquiao's 8 divisions titles and 4 lineal titles who fought in pro boxing from 106 up to 150. You have to earn it by yourself in a hard way. Floyd can beat Pacquiao but Pacquiao will still consider greater than him unless he surpass Pacquiao accomplishment.
Ok, he's an atg, we all agree there. Is he the best fighter of 2011? Absolutely not. Not by beating a shot Sugar Shane & arguably losing to Marquez, no way. Martinez lost his spot sporting 2 ko's. Manny holds his struggling against guys he's supposed to stop.
As I said Morales and Marquez are HOF fighters. Pacquiao losing to them is not like Pacquiao lost big time to a bum fighter and that makes him a bum fighter as well as what most of Pac haters trying to portrait here.
Pacman is a superb fighter & below 147, his resume is atg material. However his welterweight run & jrmiddleweight run is unbecoming of his greatness.

When he was in the lower weights, he was doing his thing.
Recently the media has been overhyping him. The current Pacquiao is definitely a media created hype job. The wins are inflated, his status is inflated because of these pretty average wins. Fighting the the guys who use to be the best, when they are not the best anymore. Nothing great about a fighter doing that. That gets me mad actually. I was a big Martinez hater not too long ago, a really big one, like Mushadeen level..then Martinez shut me up after the Pavlik win and Williams KO, and taking the Dzinzuruk fight that HBO forced him to take.
Pacquiao can shut me up as well, by beating some live young fighters consistently...like Bradley, Ortiz-Berto winner, and fighting the guys people want him to fight when they are good, not when they are coming off bad performances or losses.
Martinez is also overrated imo, no idea why ppl rate him so highly.
What I meant is even if you don't include his welterweight accomplishment and above, he was pretty set already in the stone.

I don't even understand your reply bro.

Did you ever heard about icing of the cake but far from a tune up fight like all the well known fighters they normally do?

Why do people still mention him as a good win? The guy was never any good, ever. The one single name on his resume was an old shot Bungu. Other than that he had already been knocked out, and the other dude did it easier than Pac. Stop mentioning this guy as some kind of 'name' for Pac.
It's like mentioning Julio Gervacio as a great name on Marquez's resume. The guy was a champion and was more proven than Ledwaba, but no one talks about him....because he's **** just like Ledwaba was.
"Rising star".....only in Pacland was he ever a rising star.
Hater! Ledwaba was one of the man to beat at 122 that time. After his first loss, Ledwaba won his next 24 fights and defended his belt 5 times before the Pacquiao fight! Often forgotten, Pacquiao was brought in as a late-substitute to feed the burgeoning stardom of South Africa’s highly touted Ledwaba, then 33-1-1. Fruck you! You think having a major belt in boxing is like you can pick it easily in a road side and anybody could beat them easily like what Pac did to him.

When one of the best boxers on earth give Pac a close fight like JMM did, which Pac was favourite in then Pac becomes overated?
He has achieved more than anyone and that is why greatness is placed on him. When you have achieved more than any other boxer, there doesnt need to be limit to how great you can claim Pac to be.
If you say he is the GOAT, you arent overating him, because he did things no one has done. Saying he is the GOAT dont neccesarily mean he is, so people should stop getting their nickers in a twist
