Im thinking of going to Berto vs Ortiz. I have never been to Vegas, or a boxing match. I am Canadian. I am either going to Mexico all inclusive or for this fight. I love boxing and Ortiz is one of my favorites. Also who is on the undercard?
What you guys recommend?
This is a tough one....
Obviously the atmosphere for a superfight or fight weekends for Floyd and Pac have 20x the buzz for ppl who are in town. U will have fun regardless but I agree with others who say do the big fights. the electricity leading up to the big fights of late like hatton mayweather , pac/cotto, marg/cotto, floyd/oscar, pac/oscar is a whole diff deal. .... BUT this is the type of fight that you, as a hardcore boxing fan, know will be competitive and high stakes for both guys, so the $300 for ringside at the MGM should feel like a good buy. $300 for.a superfight is only going to get you to the first few rows of the nosebleeds, if you're even able to get your hands on those. Anyway, Showtime is going to do a fight camp and televise the entire undercard, so there will probably be some decent fighters...so it might pick up some additional hype to it.
Since you're an Ortiz fan, it extra tough because he is probably a win away from getting another big fight with a big name in Vegas at 147 or 154, esp if he KOs Andre. I'm sure ud be interested in attending those if that happens. If he loses against Berto, he might never get back into a somewhat high profile fight like this if his career never gets back on track
And yesn its cooler in february and the pool party season is not open till later. But still gonna b plenty of ways to entertain urself. The pools r open just not the organized parties u see on tv, I think they start in May.
I want to go to this fight too because I kno its a decent deal to get good tix , but I am gonna hold out for as long as possible o see if our dreams come tru and floyd and manny is announced in early january. I'm not gonna even bothr trying to buy a ticket for it just watch closed circuit, but that would be an incredible first time in vegas if announced.

it's going to be a morgue lol
I went to the Cotto-Mayorga fight at the MGM for my first boxing event and it was a lot of fun. You also get to see and meet a lot of boxing personalities.
Vegas is always fun
Trust me bro go to Vegas for Ortiz vs. Berto II. I have been to Vegas twice for Mayweather/Hatton and De la hoya vs. Mayorga some of the most fun I have ever had in my life.
To be fair, going for Oritz/Berto is going to be NOTHING like going to the 2 fights you attended.
ya i know a superfight would be awesome but so expensive, floor seats for ortiz berto is only $300, also is vegas as good in febuary? Because i heard itll be a bit cooler and no pools and stuff will be open
recommend it over all inclusive in Mexico? I love boxing and partying, but there is partying in both places
personally i would want my first fight in vegas 2 b a super fight, if by mexico u r looking at cancun ive been there also so would probably pick cancun n saveup 2 go to a superfight in vegas just because of the build-up is crazy

its great ive been to hatton pac and marquez pac
both insane but nothing compare to a hatton fight
still the 2 best atmospheres ever
have fun and enjoy if i was making any money id go too
U
It depends what fight u go 2, I've been 3 times (hatton mayweather - calzaghe hopkins - mayweather Mosley) the hatton mayweather fight was amazing first time in Vegas and the build up was Quality. The other 2 was great as well but nothing is like the first time in Vegas. Even if the fight isn't great u will enjoy ur time in Vegas especially the first time
