Wow, that's pretty incredible. I didn't even know he had an injury. He seemed in pain in after the fight but I didn't think nothing of it. I can't even imagine how bad it would have been were he 100% in there.

Froch might literally have a granite chin! Shows how tough and mentally focused Ward really is. Awesome performance.

I thought he mite of had something wrong with his hand cos when his trainer started to take off his glove at the end of the fight, he looked in pain

it's always the pillow punchers with hand problems, it's understandable because most of them have terrible punch technique with thier hooks

its not a finger its a metacarpal i broke one hitting a stud in a wall and my hand looked like that but white

He broke some knuckles maybe a finger big fcking whoop,thats boxing comrades you get hurt,i will say he won that fight by at least 5 points,but to point out obvious injuries makes him look like a bia to me. I think it shows the reality of the sport. They're not playing golf out there.

From the left hook that he was throwing. I wasn't aware of this, but I remember seeing him throw the left hook and it looked like he hurt his hand. I'll have to watch it again, though.

Froch was open for a straight right all night. he's a converted southpaw unfortunately its very hard to generate power with your back hand if it's not your dominant hand and foot the only guy i can really think of with a big power hand who is converted (strong hand in the front) is dawson oscar could hurt a guy with his right hand, too, but he only had fight changing power in his left

I'm shocked I haven't seen Freedom in here saying something like "No face, that's not really his hand" or "Hollywood has makeup artists that can make such a photo look real" like he did for the cut.

How does stuff like this happen with certain fighters but not with others? Is it the way they wrap their hands? The way certain punches land? landing repeated left hooks on a head as hard as froch's is bound to hurt after a while. how come injuries like this don't affect certain fighters whereas they apparently ruin others' fights altogether?- ie haye? ah, haye's was just a bullsh*t excuse.

I knew something was wrong with him in the late rounds, he sort of abandoned his jab and was more defensive and looked a bit tired. Maybe he shoulda thrown more right hands. Feels like he barely did. Props to Ward for fighting with that, dude is one tough S.O.B. I felt the same way, I don't know why he didn't shoot the right hand up top more often, Froch was wide open for it. Maybe he didn't wanna get countered by Froch's own right hand. :dunno:

That looks painful. Just makes his performance all the more impressive, not only technically brilliant but also tough as nails.
