WBC is demanding a rematch between the two now that Hopkins got his belt back and the result switched to a NC. Would you like to see them fight again or do you agree with Dawson when he said Hopkins doesn't deserve another fight and he won't fight him again?
Vote..
Two of my favourite fighters and a fight between the two won't make for an exciting matchup but it has to happen.
We need to see who is number 1 at 175.
Yup, but I think they shouldn't be thee main event of the evening... Nobody will pay to watch this fight as a main event. Make a double header, Pascal vs Cloud, Hopkins vs Dawson, all in Montreal and there will be a sellout crowd.
Yes, they are the two best fighters in the division.
There's also a fair amount of controversy around them, from the first fight to people thinking B-Hop doesn't want to fight Chad....has to happen, but not on PPV.
Of course. It may be boring but it's relevant and it needs to happen. Call me crazy but I'm really curious to see how it would play out, it's such a toss up fight to me.
I think they said over 4k of those were comps, meaning they gave those out for free.
i dunno I guess it doesn't matter to me but I would imagine it would be a better crowd on teh east coast being both these guys are eastcoast fighters. I'll be watching from home so I suppose it doesn't matter either way :boxing:
Yeah i know they were comps, but if they actually sell those tix the only ones that benefit are the fighters. And dawson and hopkins arent huge draws even in the east coast (dawson can draw in CT) but i see what you mean bro :D
This has been drawn out long enough and they need to settle once and for all, of course you know it'll end in a draw if they do go at it again.
If it didn't take place it would be dissappointing but with some of the other fights that could be made in the division with the top guys it would not be a huge calamity
yes but under the right circumstances. (no stupid ppv, eastcoast location, good undercard).
Idk why ppl complain so much of the east coast-west coast sh i.t. I was there and there was 8k ppl there (lower bowl only open was full) even if most were giveaways. The undercard was good and it was a great crowd throughout the night. The ppv thing did suck
Probably won't be action packed, but they are the 2 best fighters at the 175 division. The 2 best fighters should always fight each other and settle the scores to find out who the top guy is in the division. These fights should always happen, no matter how boring it may be.
