Jones-Green II: Who you got?

Seems Roy is looking for a rematch against Danny Green. A Green coming off two brutal defeats still comes in as the favourite to beat this old Jones. Four-weight world champion Roy Jones Jr. is relenting in his quest to hold aloft the only belt that has eluded him since the Pensacola fighter laced up professional gloves for the first time as a middleweight in 1989. The now 42 year-old, who got back to winning ways for the first time since 2009 at the weekend, is intent on continuing his quest to dethrone one of the world cruiserweight champions in 2012. One of his targets along the way is a rematch with Australian former IBO champion Danny Green, who stopped Jones in just one round two years ago and is currently on a two-fight losing streak. When asked whether a bout with Green was something he had in his sights, Jones replied: “Danny Green? For sure! I want that fight right now. “My target is the cruiserweight world title. I expect to be back in February or March and Green is an option. With differing degrees of negativity surrounding the former great prolonging his career after three-straight defeats before his ten-round win over Max Alexander, Jones wasn’t letting any of it faze him when questioned about calls for his retirement. “God gave me life, so he will have the final say so,” Jones told World Boxing News. - World Boxing News

I'd love to see Roy extract revenge on Danny Green. Then again Green is very done at this point. I'd love to see it too. I still remember downloading that first fight and noticing it was only 20MB ... 'Oh no ... ' were my words, I think :lol1:

Jeez, I always figured it was about money but that's a heck of a debt. It's not great for his health though, people will still turn up to see RJJ when he's 50 so he'll probably be fighting for some time to come. Yeah, it's a terrible position to be in at his age and having made the money he's made. He can say whatever he wants about Cruiserweight belts etc, but the real motivation behind it is this tax bill and ending up in the slammer like Wesley Snipes. At Roy's age and having made the $ he's made throughout his career, that's not a good position to be in. Ha ha ha. He stupid dummy. Now he have no body to protect his dummy mind. Green by ko. Dummy will fight again too. and loose always. ATG here. Chris John. You're getting younger every day.

Apparently he owed 3.5 mil to the IRS ... Not a nice position to be in. It's a shame some people are not more careful of their money or have not been educated how to handle it.
