If it is possible that Bob Arum does not want to make the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight happen:
"Possibly yeah. The thing is everywhere I travel in the world everyone tells me to make that fight happen and so forth. I talked to Manny's advisors last week and they told me they are negotiating so it's definitely a possibility and I hope that fight happens."
Whether or not he thinks Pacquiao won the fight against Marquez:
"I thought he won by a little bit but the thing is before the decision was announced I didn't know which way it was gonna go though because it was a close fight. It coulda went either way, and if it went the other way I couldn't complain that's for sure. After watching the fight on TV I did have Manny winning by a little bit. First time in ten years Manny had a bad night and just came at the wrong time. It may be good because maybe Mayweather is licking his chops at this point."
Whether or not he would accept a fourth fight against Marquez:
"If that makes the most sense then yeah but Mayweather is the fight I want. I think he is the biggest challenge out there and I like challenges. I think that's the defining fight of Manny's career."
If he thinks Pacquiao's last fight will be against Mayweather:
"I think so. The thing is if Pacquiao does lose that fight – well win or lose I think he will retire. I think that's gonna be his last fight. He's really into politics and so forth and politics is going to take him away from boxing that's for sure. Politics is something he wants to be good at. It's not like the singing or dancing and acting, that's more for fun. This is serious business and something he wants to be good at. It's gonna take 100 percent of his time to be good at that. I feel if we do fight Mayweather, win or lose I think it will be his last fight."
How tough he thinks the Mayweather fight would be if it happens:
"Very difficult fight. He is a good counter-puncher and his style does give us trouble. He does have some Marquez similarities but he's actually a lot faster than Marquez so he does pose a bigger problem. Manny, in his last fight, he kinda fell back into the realm when he fought this guy the first two times. He didn't use the improvements he's been working on to beat these bigger and better guys. He kinda went right back to what he did in the first two fights. That wasn't enough and that wasn't really effective. I think Mayweather will bring out the best in Manny. It's gonna have to because if not we're not gonna be there in the end."

wow roach doesn't sound very confident at all that manny will beat floyd lol
i really don't know where you get that impression. the way i see it, roach gave floyd props and recognized him for being one of the best fighters in the planet.
basically, floyd's a tough nut to crack, but manny's the nutcracker that'll do the job.
roach has said this lots of times people....dont get all excited, we all know pac is a sucker for right straight and floyd has that as his best punch but it would take hell of a lot more than just that...floyd has a poor workrate and get's hit hell a lot more vs southpaws....both will have a hardtime with eachother..
if only floyd had balls, we would've seen this fight already..

you dont have to believ me.....do you memorize floyd's average punches without looking at compubox results.....youre exaggerating floyd counterpunching abilites and personality as a fighter...not counting his right pullcounter, floyd most of the time tries to stay out of range when his opponent is thowing, thats his style and personality, thats what he's known for....one reason why floyd is more accurate is becuase he thrwos very little....that happens..

Sometimes I wonder who is the most retarded, Puga, Check hook or Pasayago
you are hallucinaing my man...there was no left hook thrown by hatton...he got caught before he could throw anything....
plus, if floyd was so good countering with a left hook , how come there is only one fight that youre basing this on?...shoud'nt it be more if he was so good countering with a left hook?...lol
Seriously ??! Are you trolling or you're retarded ??
Floyd set up that punch in the rounds before the ko happened. He landed that same check hook every time hatton tried to land a left hook.

Here it is in slow motion, go at 20 seconds. Can you see the punch now dumb retard ??!
What is all this talk about Floyd looking better on paper? Come on we only saw him out box, outclass DLH, Hatton and Mosley before they faced Pacquiao. So how is it that these guys were too old when they fought Floyd but alive when they fought Pacquiao? Wake up people and see the reality. Roach has and for this he deserves some credit. No disrespect for Pacquiao, he took fights against guys that were taylored for his style. I would have done the same but now he has to face the top dog and that's Floyd.
Pacquiao ain't seeing the final bell, I can guarantee you that. Floyd will systemfcially break Pacquiao with right hands until Roach throws in the towel. It will be a totally one sides fight. Anyone with a brain can see this is a MISMATCH in Floyd favor. The writing is on the wall.
I want to believe you, but when you take past fights and make up numbers it just gives off a bad impression. What's the purpose behind saying Floyd threw 26 punches per round against Baldomir, when he really thew 38 punches and those numbers are accessible? One may question your motive.
As far as counters, Floyd generally thows a right-hand pull-counter, a right-hand roll counter, a right uppercant counter, a left hook and check left hook counters. 95% of what he does is based on counters and timing. JMM throws more combinations, but Floyd is much more accurate with his single shot, so much so that he doesn't feel the need to throw combinations any longer, according to him.

not trying to convice anyone.....and not sayin hatton opned himslef up on purpose either....im just sayin , hatton did not throw anything when floyd caught him...
i never said floyd is not a counterpuncher either...actually , his right hand counter is the best ive seen....but im realsitic and floyd is not as versatile of a counterpuncer as many make him out to be....
i reveiw many of his fights from time to time and i observe....

So you're trying to convince me, and I'm sure others, that Hatton simply opened himself up and dove in face-first? Cool.
Anyway, you're a boxing fan. I shouldn't have to go through fights holding your hand. If you don't think Floyd Mayweather is a counterpuncher, then what could I really tell you? :lol1:

You being serious? If you didn't see Hatton drop his right and start to jump in with a left-hook, I don't know what else to tell you. Maybe you'll see it if you watch it in slow motion, like Pacquiao fights.

those were the only 2 fights where pac had that much of pucnhes thrown...60 puches per round is still high volume....floyd averaged 26 puches per round vs baldomir, now, thats low..
Not that it makes any difference to you, but it just ISN'T true.

He averaged 38 punches per round.

....what lefthook are you talking about?....are you seein things that are not there?...lol 2. nonsense 3. he prolly did...pac was making anme for himslef at that time ... beacese lots of inferior southpaws knew how to fight floyd ..they were just not good enough to keep doing what was giving floyd problems and that due to floyd inflciting damagae to them too...

i agree he is a very gd pressure fighter but against mosley/marquez he averaged 657 punches in the fight n against clottey/margarito he threw over 1150 punches.

1. Watch the ending again. Hatton got hit when he opened up to throw a left hook. Not sure if you're trolling or if you've never seen the fight. 2. Again, not sure what you're talking about. When someone melts down when confronted with the truth, it tells any rational observer what they need to know. 3. Okay, I'll humor you. Did Torrecampo know how to fight Pacquiao? Did Floyd know how to fight Marquez? What makes you think Pacquiao knows how to fight Floyd?
