this guy martinez is the middleweight champion of the world and wants to pick on floyd who is on his 5 division and manny who is in his 8th or 9th division. If martinez called out anybody else at 147 that's not name pacquiao or mayweather he would be getting ripped universally, but since its pacquiao and floyd the two most polarizing fighters in the sports he gets a pass. If martinez wants money and legacy so much he should do the proper thing and move up to 168 already. But since he is a hypocrite who wants big paydays with the least risk, he wants floyd and manny. The difference is floyd and manny already put the work in much earlier in their career and are established great fighters and stars of the sport who have earned the right to call the shots and pick and choose while sergio hasnt. Exactly. If it's Sergio begging for a fight with 147 pounder Malignaggi, people will shit on martinez for the rest of his career. Now he's begging for a fight with 147 pounder Pac and Floyd, Pac and Floyd are ducking him. :dunno:

It would be better and more significant than any of Pacquiao's last 4 or 5 fights. if pac beats martinez at 150lbs people will write it off because of the catchweight. i'd prefer pac fight martinez above 150lbs, but again pac can't make 150+ lbs. he can't even make above 147 during weigh-in.

I don't like how desperate Martinez comes off in his pursuit of Mayweather and Pacquiao, but since he's gotten his chance at the big time he has consistently fought very good competition. Darren Barker was bad, but that was one fight. Any news on his next opponent? I remember hearing something but never seeing if it was finalized.

Mayweather,Pac and Cotto are not on his weight class. Martinez is a Middleweight. Hes really a junior middleweight who moved up to 160 to get bigger fights.
