Even Manny himself is a good example he has gotten better with age, now he seems to be wearing down but his technique has improved massively since his JMM/Morales fights. Also, I'm not saying Cotto was drained at 145, but please tell me how losing two pounds helped Cotto? Even now, aside from his boxing skils which he has because he WENT TO THE OLYMPICS after Floyd's run, his biggest asset against Manny is his size. Losing ANY weight is going to affect muscle for a fighter, they have hardly any body fat already. At 154 he gets 9 pounds of muscle, even at 145 Manny was feeling his punches he knows even giving him 5 pounds its going to be "hard because it hurts" as Koncz said. Floyd is fighting a better version of Cotto, period.

Ok, so he's older, battle worn, but Pac won't go near him without a 148 catchweight. How does that even make sense.

You are mixing things dude. Floyd gets $25 mil as a FIGHTER and additonal as THE PROMOTER because he pays for things up front. Floyd is essentially Bob and Manny. Its like floyd v ODH. ODH's $50 mil wasn't just as a fighter, but as the promoter. He paid floyd about $10-12 mil plus ppv sales. He paid himself $25 mil plus ppv sales. well pac didnt have loaded gloves... if cotto wants it, he would have to go to WW. but theres no way cotto beats pac. hes getting too overconfident with this margo win. pacquiao moves unlike rito. hes in for another rude awakening. Apparently his guarantee per fight will be like 7mills per fight and he has been offered a Pacquiao Rematch at 15mills guranteed + PPVs and revenues. Also the contract that they are talking about is a 3 fight contract, instead of the 3 or 3 years he regularly signs!! If the money is there.... I see people biting it. I'd give Cotto a good chance against any fighter. He's good at learning from his mistakes, he went in the fight with the attitude that he was bigger than Pacquiao and tried planting his feet which allowed Pacquiao to tee off on him. The second time around I'd expect him to be lighter on his feet. I'd still see Pacquiao as the favorite but I think Cotto would pose Pacquiao more problems this time around. It's a fight I'd like to see anyway, I found the first fight exciting and is in my honest opinion a credible win on Pacquiao's resume. Also at 150lb Cotto should be more comfortable than Pacquiao.

Agreed. We can all understand wanting to get paid, but Miguel fighting either Floyd or Manny is a rip-off for the fans. A Pacquiao rematch would be especially insulting, since Cotto was already severely beaten by Manny in a one-sided affair. A Mayweather bout wouldn't be much better; Floyd would box Miguel's ears off. In an interview this morning in 98.5 Sal Soul radio station (PR) Cotto said that his promoter was Top Rank, but did not say anything about signing contract with him. He can still fight for them and be a free agent. However, his comments indicated that he was going to be loyal to Top Rank. He is thankful for all Top Rank done for his career. But personally, I think he is being polite. His contract is up on December 31. Let's see what happens after that.
