U just called us over excited now we are mad?? Dude your the 1 that sounds pissed about the stoppage.
Of course Im pissed about the stoppage. Because it was a bullshiit stoppage. Along with all the other bullshiit that happens in boxing. From Chisora getting robbed. Marquez not getting the decision. Mayweather sucker punching Ortiz. Hopkins quitting like a ho. Boxing is full of shiit.
Sorry Ricans and Cotto fans, no matter how much you project, Im really not that upset that your boy got this hollow victory (which i expected), its just another example of the fans getting robbed. Its sad that this kinda shiit has become the norm now and people are just willing to accept it.
Why is it all Cotto fans can say is "you are butthurt"? Instead of actually talkin about the fight. Seriously, from the most butthurt group of fans to ever exist in boxing?
He tires. Everyone knows that. Tony landing a right and an uppercut right at the end of the round and Miguel was holding on. 3 rounds is a long time for Cotto to keep running.
:lurk: rrrright! CHEERIO MATE!
Yeah thats what Cotto and all his overexcited fans got robbed of potentially seeing.
Now you have to revel so hard in this hollow victory. Trying to convince everyone this was the kind of satisfying redemption you sought. When deep down....it isnt.
Actually I'm very impressed with this win. Margarito punches were softer than my Grandma's in there. You mad Cotto made Tony his sparring partner?
Only thing we got robbed from us was a chance to see a guy have his eye fall out from getting punched so much on it. Thats what u wanted see???? What a bunch of savages u people are. Lol!

Your 'evidence' is entirely subjective, based on the opinion that Cotto tires and that Margarito recharges. My 'evidence' is circumstantial. I'm not saying that there is anything concrete to prove Margarito used plaster-wraps in the first fight, I'm just saying that there is enough circumstantial 'evidence' to make being suspicious fair.
Cotto did tire against Mosley and Clottey, but not significantly. The only fight he significantly tired in was the first Margarito fight. You can't tell me that Cotto was tiring to anywhere near that extent and you can't tell me that Margarito was coming on as strong as he did in the first fight. Margarito starting making his surge in the 7th round of the first fight, but hadn't really started making any surge in the second fight by the the 9th. Cotto was visibly declining after the 7th round of the first fight, but was still totally outboxing Margarito in the 9th of the second fight.
Margarito might have got Cotto in the remaining three rounds, but I can't see any good reasons why.
Cool. I do. I can also see Miguel winning more convincingly and giving his fans the win they seem to still be craving.
But they robbed us of the chance to see it play out. Thats the only thing Im mad about.
One of these days you might form an intelligible thought so that you dont need to use generic, overused, google images to cover for you.

Cotto got tired against Mosley. He was running from Josh Clottey. You're harping on about plaster but saying I have no evidence?

Margarito hasnt shown a late surge because Mosley and Pacquaio actually beat the shiit out of him. Miguel didnt, as much as his fans try to convince everyone that he did.

I would have been quite happy to see another two rounds where Margarito is blind in one eye and taken all kinds of unnecessary damage. I think Cotto would have got even more satisfaction and I didn't see any signs of Margarito turning the fight around.
That's your perspective. My perspective is that they protected Margarito from taking permanent eye damage, similar to how Lennox Lewis beat down the eye of Vitali Klitschko.
As evident from the post fight pics, his eye was swollen shut, and they couldn't fix it with any of the extra kit the cutman had in their corner. Even though you need to protect your e-image by supporting Margarito, deep down you know it's true.
I was waiting for some fool to compare it to Klitschko-Lewis. Vitali's face was hanging off. Tony's swelling wasnt even the worst of the night! And he answered every question correctly in the corner.

The predictable "why you mad" google image response.
Glad you guys think outside the box.
Haha exactly. He made Miguel take two knees and quit.
Tony was laughing and screaming "woooo" whenever Cotto hit him. :lol1:
But let the gay Cotto fans have their "revenge"

No indication? So they just rob us of the chance to see it play out? Horrible stoppage. That's your perspective. My perspective is that they protected Margarito from taking permanent eye damage, similar to how Lennox Lewis beat down the eye of Vitali Klitschko.

That's your evidence? Cotto tiring significantly in one fight against an opponent who may have had plaster-wraps aiding him? Weak. The last time Margarito got stronger in the later rounds was in the first fight against Cotto, coincidentally the fight before he was caught with illegal plaster wraps; wraps that would typically harden in the later rounds of a fight as hands get sweatier. No conclusive proof that was the case, but it doesn't look good when you add up the circumstantial 'evidence', especially as Margarito hasn't shown that miraculous late round surge since being caught. Maybe that's the case because he has been in the ring with better fighters, maybe that's the case because he has become a shot fighter since his Mosley beating or maybe it's because he no longer has the aid of plaster-wraps. Whichever way you spin it, nothing supports the idea that Margarito was suddenly going to finish the way he used to in the second Cotto fight.

Did you watch the first fight? Margarito started to pick up after the 6th round already, and Cotto was considerably worse off in the 9th round of that fight. I have seen no indication at all, that Margarito would be able to beat Cotto in the last 3 rounds, and neither did the commission. It was a masterfully timed stoppage, done at just the right moment, so nobody could really complain about anything. And I have a certain level of disgust over the way the NYSAC have dealt with this fight.

The evidence is that Miguel tires in the late rounds and Tony gets stronger. I dont see how anyone can say it makes no difference that the championship rounds were taken out of the equation in a fight like that.

Whats wrong with me? How can you all tell what is going to happen in 3 full rounds of fighting. Since when is Tony being way behind something new? Its like that surprises you people....
Do you watch boxing? Only a couple of weeks ago, Prescott was way ahead against Alvarado and he gassed the fuk out in the 12th and got stopped. Jermain Taylor was ahead agaisnt Froch and he gassed and got stopped.

Tony gets stronger = wins 1 round on the cards up to the 9th.:wtf1: is wrong with you people?

Evidence? Please do the legal system a favour and never do jury duty.
You're making an arse out of yourself in this thread, pure and simple. **** the 'butthurt' ****, you're delusional. Margarito had no power in the fight, just like he had no power against Garcia and no power against Pacquiao. Cotto hadn't taken enough punishment for those smothered shots to take an effect in the last three rounds and while I'll agree with you that the fight was stopped unnecessarily, it didn't make any difference really. Margarito is, was and always will be a walking punching bag with superb stamina, a rock solid chin and good power, but there will always be the suspicion that his power came from plaster-wraps and based on his last four performances, it's not unfair to be suspicious. Without that power, Margarito would have been a toughnut journeyman or gatekeeper at best, used by prospects to get some rounds in.
