Anybody else hear when he said "Good, get the f**k outta here" after he made them touch gloves lol.

he's one of the best if not the best out there and you could see he didn't want to stop it but doc gave him no choice.

when Smoger called it off he kissed Marg and said he was sorry....I thought that was kinda deep.....HE would've let Marg keep fighting...but hey, thats why we love Smoger...dude is the truth!!

He's too dangerous. The doctor clearly said to him that the fight should stop, yet you could tell he wanted it to continue. He delayed the decision, allowed Garcia to pile more pressure on the doctor, before he asked again whether it should be stopped (even though he already had the doctor's decision). Then he delayed further, before asking again and then accepting the decision. He should never allow the doctors to be leaned on in that way because he wanted it to continue. That was a disgrace. As the great Roger Mayweather would say: That doctor didn't know shiat about boxing. Smoger has been around for years and knew that Marg was fine to continue. Did you hear the doc's reasoning post fight? "It would be safer if he stopped fighting"....like no shiat it would be safer. It would be safer if Marg wasn't a boxer either. I want to know how many fights that doctor has worked. Or was he the eye specialist that the NYSAC had at the fired with the sole job of scrutinizing Marg's eye? (which they should have done if they medical cleared him. Either he is cleared or he isn't).

smoger awesome ref. . he's not out for his own namesake or attention. . . just there to do his job. . i bet he's a hardcore fight fan; probably even has an account here. . . It is more than a job to him. So much more. I remember back in the Pavlik/Miranda fight. the two of them were exchanging bombs for an extended period of time in the second round, up close and personal. After they finally clinched to each get a breather, Smoger stepped in to break them only to say "Beautiful Guys, Beautiful" He is truly old school when it comes to the sport. He is a true boxing fan with his dream job, that is what Smoger is.

Ya Smoger is a great ref along with Bayless and Weeks.Funny though when he stopped it he kissed Margarito on the chest did the same to Mtagwa after Gamboa was funny

But Steve Bunce was critical of him as a personality. Apparently he makes himself very available for the boxing press and regards himself as a bit of an attraction. The Box Nation guys were also very critical of the way he hugged Cotto before the fight. I like him though.

Smoger, Bayless, or Weeks shoud ref every major fight IMO. Bayless sucks, he called the mosley push on Pac a knockdown even tho it was obviously a push and he was like 3 feet away
