Mayorga vs Margarito: Say hello to the Bad Guys!

The thick of Margarito's career KO's/TKO's were at welterweight, not junior middleweight. He's had some KO/TKO's there but they aren't that many, and those that DID happen were against so-so junior middleweights. A partially ineffective junior middleweight Margarito, with a very, very tender right eye, and a hard-punching, pressure fighter like James Kirkland who will have Ann Wolfe in his corner...Margarito gets stopped in the first 5 rounds. He's going to want to keep going but his eye might very well explode with how big Kirkland is. Kirkland>Margarito if it ever gets made at 154. I'll give you 4 to 1 odds. There is no way Margarito beats someone like Kirkland. Where's Phantom?! I wonder if he read this. :rofl:

It's his eye that swells up that's his downfall. I wouldn't mind seeing Mayorga/Margarito. It's a "safe" opponent at 154, ticket sales will go up with the trash-talking, and you know the styles will be good. But at this point, Margarito's eye is now undoubtedly a much bigger factor in fights than people imagine.

Was actually leaning towards Angulo as a possibillty since everyone is fascinated with Slo-Mo fights that one would actually be a live version. But Mayorga would also be good however he'd prob move a bit and not engage like Angulo

The more punishment Margarito sustains the better. This guy deserves boxing's equivalent of the death penalty. I say throw him in against Mayorga, Angulo, Kirkland and then Martinez in that order.

It's going to be difficult for Marg to compete with that eye. If he didn't have the problem I would easily pick Marg....But, if you just focus on his eye have it will swell up, they will stop it.

Mayorga is bigger and stronger and hits harder so he has a chance... I think Marg on work rate though
