I would like to see how BS rates Cotto's performance after last night.
Based on a scale 5-10 ( yeah I didn't put it from 1-10, too many trolls/babies in this site)
Don't start no fight mex vs pr, plaster vs no plaster, early stoppage or not etc.
Just rate his performance based on last night

Cotto won, by boxing, he did NOT beat the **** out of Tony, he did not prove Plaster was used, he made idiots believe that by using bigger gloves in this fight... and by adjusting his game plan a bit.
However I believe Margarito had him figured out at the end of the 9th and a Puerto Rican Dr saved Cottos ass
he won every round and was never hurt.. that proves to me that margo did use plaster.
:pat:
7.5.
Cotto did a few things better this time round. Span him a few times on the ropes which was good, instead of just laying on the ropes pretty much exclusively. Tied him up a bit, although still very rarely.
It was a good performance but he still has the glaring weaknesses he's always had and obviously will always stay with him as a fighter.
But good performance none the less, I had winning every round.
Would be nice to see him fight a good fighter now, though.

Cotto went with a great gameplan and he boxed beautifully.
I thought he could of sit more on his punches and throw more body shots. He was backing Margarito a couple of times in the fight and never really took advantage of that.
He got hit a little too much for the way he was fighting.
Other than that, Good performance.

Ok I have to disagree with you totally..I think if it wasn't stopped marg would have been ko'd..
Hats off to Cotto, let's not take anything away from him he put in a superb performance, he did things I didn't think he was quite capable of. He changed up his gameplan from the first fight perfectly to neutralise Margarito. So what did he do differently, well instead of backing up in straight lines and going to the ropes where Marg could hammer him he used lateral movement so he was much harder for Margarito to find. When Margarito did close the gap and force his way inside he stopped Margarito uppercuting him by doing several things. He closed the gap further and clinched, he threw hooks from angles, he sat on his punches more to stop Margarito pushing him back and stop him. Another thing he did was use the occasional headbutt coming off the ropes to take away Margarito's rythm. Brilliant strategy, well done to him and his trainer, they put in a master class.

He fought smarter, tied up, smothered Margarito when he had to, used his right hand alot more, moved well (Although sometimes too much for my liking). Definitely an 8, thing is...Margarito couldn't have been more ripe for Miguel.
It was Rafael Marquez-Vazquez 4 in that although both went tit for tat in those 3 fights, one guy clearly had more left going into the 4th fight and that showed. It's the same case here, while both aren't in their prime, Cotto clearly had more left, so other than winning in impressive fashion what else was I suppose to expect?
8.5, really good all round performance.
I thought he lost some of the inside exchanges and could've clinched more to wrap Margo up.
Everything else was superb, it looked like Pac/Margo out there at times the way he was teeing off on him.
Due to it being stopped early and IMO un justly I gave Miguels performance a five, great boxing but he did run his ass off in that last round, and it was clearly Tony taking over in that round...

I understand you're hurting but you should take the man's family out of your sig imo, there's a line.
margarito is the only pressure fighter out there wit the chin to back it up period. any other fighter would have trouble wit the cotto from last night.
he won every round and was never hurt.. that proves to me that margo did use plaster.
you are ****ing retarded, they used bigger gloves for this fight and everlast gloves for this fight.
you using this fight as proof he used plaster exposes the fact that you were born with some brain setbacks
I think he fought very well. I gave him an 8. Boxed very well, lot of clear shots to the head, took advantages of openings, and utilized the ring. I didn't like how much he was moving, but I don't think he was in any worry of being stopped. If the fight would have continued, I think Cotto would have continued his game plan and landed a decision.
8...would have liked to see him sit on his punches earlier and more often...like when he would turn margo against the ropes he looked he would wait to counter instead of engaging first and unloading to the body and head....thats pretty much my only critique.
That was what I was thinking... Can't figure out why he was so aggressive (4-5 combos) on the outside but on the inside he was just waiting for a counter. Plus he didn't go the the body that much other than that he looked pretty good.
Gave him an 8-8.5 due to Margo's eye raised a ?. Plus Margarito didn't looked so good (No Defense, couldn't cut the ring, etc). Still a really good performance from Cotto
Whut?
He was exact copy of the first fight, except Cotto was running all night.
And im telling this because obviously at the last round he was outta stamina.
Finally some people who are not blinded by love. Cotto was on the verge of being stoped again!

This^^^. It kinda frustrated me that he would be able to out-maneuver Marg and get him up against the ropes, only to not capitalize on the opportunity to beat him to the body and REALLY try to disfigure him. But hey, maybe it was the in the plan to make sure you have enough in the tank to go 12 safely, so I can understand why he didn't unload, he would just throw 2 or 3 punches and then return to the center of the ring.
Cotto's skill-set was finally able to overcome Marg's attributes. He fought very intelligently, he out-thought Margarito. Marg thought Cotto was gonna come in and BANG with him, Cotto only brawled once in the entire fight, that shows discipline. They probably thought Cotto was gonna go for the kill and gas himself out, but he didn't give into the temptation. There were points where Cotto was really impressing me with his movement and ring awareness. Marg was still able to get him on the ropes, but nowhere near as much as the 1st fight.

100% agreed! Couldn't have said it better my self.
I gave him a 9 but i should gave him a 8 he looked good boxed great. there were times where it look like the old fight but he showed adjusments. Cotto by far land the harder shots he looked calm and relaxed. I didnt see him getting tired I think alot has to do with he didnt break his nose this time
7. He was on his way to gas out again. His conditioning, his stamina aint good. He has probably two more fight and retirement. He invest well so he dont have financial issues like many others.
Something good for him was that he bullied Tony, trying to regain his confidence. He tried to fight him with Tony's back to the ropes and that showed me that this time around he wanted to punish him so bad and nothing was stopping him. Glad for him, but he is almost done.
