Im wondering if anyone else is also unimpressed with Diaz. I didnt hear much direction in between rounds other than to tie Margs up and push him off / turn him. I didnt hear anything regarding what punches to throw. He shouldve told him to throw uppercuts, stay inside more, use more lateral movement and stop moving straight back, use the jab more, and other things. All i kept hearing was "push him back, keep moving." Imo Cotto was making a lot of mistakes and exerted way too much energy with all that movement. Diaz didnt seem to correct any of this and didnt give Cotto a lot of direction other than what he kept telling him over and over.
Yo.. I like Marquez.. I like Ricardo Finito Lopez, but I hate you mexicans in general. You are the people that make me hate your as much as I do.
The ignorant fans of mexican boxing who always have **** to say after a fight. Can't accept defeat whatsoever.
The game plan was well planned in my opinion. This is exactly what I said Cotto had to do. Get inside, and when Tony would get close, to clinch. The pushing away helped a lot to cause Tony is slow on his feet, so pushing him back helped a lot.
You can call it running, call it a pu$$y move, but Cotto was tagging that face all day long.
You take advantage with plaster, then he will take advantage of that eye. We all knew with the punches Cotto landed in the first fight would happen again, and it did, but this time they eye was vulnerable. The perfect eye too for Cotto's LEFT hook and jab.
So cry me a river you ****ing sore loser mexicans. Only to you fag00ts who discredit wins. If you're not one of them, my hat goes off to you, as for the thread starter... Suck Tony and Rios' cock with his 4 day dehydrated cum.
Hello there mexican hater. Thank u for showing who u are with those borderline racist comments. Im mexican, but if ur not blind take a look at my sig and avatar, i Support Cotto u idiot. I dont like margarito. Im just stating my opinion. Cotto did some things right and put on a good performance, but i felt he couldve done much better. As for Rios, he put up a good fight and deserves credit other than for not making weight. Rios was nowhere mentioned in this thread until you. Ur a mexican hater and u should consider urself a disgrace.

The same people criticizing Diaz for not telling Cotto what punches to throw are the same ones who praise Yoel Judah for demonstrating combinations on Zab Judah and making sound effects while he does them.
One thing many fans don't understand is that you punch where you see an opening. In my opinion, the only time you should tell a fighter what specific punch to throw is when he is having trouble finding openings..
Cotton had no trouble finding openings lastnight.
You fags think a fighter starts at the beginning of the round saying to himself I'm gonna uppercut him to death or I'm gonna focus on the straight right, no.. I doesn't work like that. Throwing the punch where you see the opening is instinctive for a fighter.
Are u a fighter or trainer? You are correct about throwing where there is an opening but the point of having a trainer is to see things tht the fighter cant, because as a fighter there are many things u might not see, including openings. Cotto could have thrown mich more uppercuts and land them clean. If ur only gameplan is to hit wherever u see an opening then might as well not even have a trainer.
The circling and pushing off was brilliant but the strategy seemed to imply that they were more intent on defense rather than offense. Might just be me but i wouldve liked to see more gun fire from Cotto.
well then, that wouldn't be a smart fight on his part...I thought he mixed it up pretty well though.

I wasn't impressed at all.
All those that are amazed by Cotto's performence, don't know shit about boxing.
Cotto is lucky Tony had one eye cause he was in for some trouble.
Bro get outta here you sound so bitter.
Margarito didn't do half of the work early that he did in the first fight, Cotto was not gonna fade like he did in the first fight.
How are people hating on Diaz? Cotto fought a completely different fight, the smart fight. Circled all night, tied up, and pushed off....that was ALL Diaz.
I wasn't impressed at all.

here you go :bottle: feeling better LOL!!!:haha:
I also agree that I was not impressed. Also pushing a fighter is illegal so I hope that wasn't the plan all along or Cotto might be deducted or lost in strategy in future fights.
