From what i recall from the first fight between Margarito, Cotto did not work the body as much as he has done in his previous fights. I just remember Margarito's head snapping back but no body shots.
Do you think he will commit to the body more often?
Is there a huge difference when wearing head gear and not wearing head gear?
I mean i know he has been hit in sparring with head gear on but will there be a major difference when Cotto is targeting his eye when he is not wearing any protection...
Man i am pumped about this fight and the whole card.
And I think one factor in this fight is what happens once Margarito gets hit in the eye?
In the 1st fight Margs kept his elbows tucked tight as he knew Cotto couldn't hurt him to the head so he protected his body. If he feels any sort of weakness in that eye he might bring his hands up to protect his face which could open him up to Cotto's body attack.
Or Cotto could just learn how to through a straight right hand to the mid section, that would probably be a good idea.
That's an excellent point.
Cotto wil be very lucky if Margarito's eye becomes a problem because if Margarito has to protect his head that will open up Cotto's body attack and will certainly increase his chances of victory.
If not though, Cotto is in for a very tough night again.
Cotto's body work was certainly not up to it's usual standards against Margarito.
I think Margarito's lack of defence around his face and the fact Margarito did a great job of protecting his body throughout the bout caused Cotto to become a head hunter.
If Cotto plans on beating Margarito this time around, he has to attack Margarito's body more consistently and clinch if Margarito gets too close.
Otherwise, he's in for another loss.

Yeah those uppercuts were devastating to Cotto. I just watched a video of him and his trainer working on protecting himself from uppercuts. Hopefully he benefits from it or its not going be hell for Cotto
he fell in love with the jab now.
When he was a body hunter he came forward reckless. He learned cause if he came in rushing in for a body **** he would be wide open. But i believe Cotto needs to work the body. He fell in love with tagging margaritos face for some reason, but margaritos body looked well hidden though if you watch the fight.
He did work the body but not like the Cotto we all know and this will be key not just cus the Mosley fight Manny nearly folded Tony over with a straight left hand to the body in the fourth round of their fight
