Broner in Cincy, and I believe Khan-Peterson will show that if you bring fights to major metropolitan cities, they can be successful
Good news about the crowd. Have to agree with Kim. Why don't we have more boxing matches in DC. I know from the Mayweather press tour with Mosley they had a big turnout in DC and apparently it's a bit of a fight town. No reason fights shouldn't be held there. boxing needs to hold big fights in major cities across the US to give fans and potential fans access, instead of just having fights in the usual spots.
5,000 is a solid number for a up & comer and all. But Broner has been on HBO several times and was fighting for a title.
Deontay Wilder drew 3,500 in a small town in Alabama fighting Damon frickin' REED with NO national media exposure whatsoever. Not to mention he's the most statistically dominant Heavyweight in the history of the sport. So why is he being hid from the public?
Does Wilder have to act like an ASS and pull cheap faggity gimmicks to get on TV? Or maybe Emmanuel Steward using his connections with HBO to try to supress coverage of Wilder? I'm sure he knows Wilder's a serious threat to completely derail his gravy train in the near future and will probably pull out all stops to keep the inevitable from happening.
hes not getting any press cause hes fighting bums.Hes with one of the
powerfull promoters,They just want him to get experience.I'm sure when
he steps up he will get tv time.
lol ponce de leon will be broner's "castillo". . .
i don't think you can even begin to compare broner with floyd. . . yet. .
i like broner; im a big fan so far. . . he should be more aggressive, more often - he has good enough instincts to not get caught, and he is so fast and powerful he can KO people. . .
he has a completely different personality than floyd. . . he is more of a light-hearted, funny guy who is cocky. . . floyd has a hateful, and mean streak in him. . .
but he should definitely forget about rapping.
Although Ponce isn't anywhere near as good as Castillo (although I love Ponce as a fighter) and Floyd jumped right back in there to rematch him.
I think the kid watches endless videos of Floyd and has shamelessly adopted the Money May image as his own, and it's pretty transparent. He's cocky in a "I want to be like Floyd" type of way, if that makes any sense lol.
But I think the dude has a bright future if they keep him away from somebody like Brandon Rios right now.
I think Broner is a hell of a fighter, even though he got a gift against Ponce, I actually see him destroying Ponce in a rematch. Just wish the kid would drop the Floyd act and be himself, don't care how cocky he is, just do you bro. Don't try to be the next Floyd Jr. (because honestly he'll never be half the fighter Floyd is) just worry about being the only Adrien Broner.
You don't know what your talking about.

Cincys a good sports town. Like st. Louis for alexander and youngstown for pavlik. Thats why i never understood why hopkins never pushed the philly thing. He should be packing places in philly by now.
Its good for the sport to me. A hot crowd adds to the entertainment to me. Always does.
agreed.......
