both overhyped but at least Russell was only "exposed" by a great fighter
Maybe exposed...maybe he had a bad night.
Looked pretty good in his last fight against a guy that alot of folks on here were pretty high on.
Not saying that Russel beats Hi Tech in a rematch, but that just because Russell lost that fight does not expose him as a clown, like Broner is becoming (is?).
Of the two and having only seen them for the first time on Saturday, I'll go with Russel having the greater potential for greatness. He has better speed and he looks more polished to me.
Looking forward to seeing more of both in any case.
Ok. Not bad.
I think the jury is still out, but not bad.
It's no contest....
Russell by a mile, simply because he's willing to stand and deliver. That second round with Broner was all I needed to see. He was so scared to get hit he's elbowing, reaching out to grab the dude to try to stop him from punching - instead of stepping to the side, slipping, countering and finishing him (like his talent shows). Like Floyd, he doesn't throw fluid 3+ punch combinations - he pauses and measures with the glove between the punches. Mark my words - you might as well start calling him ANDRE Broner because is gonna be protected beyond belief (feasting on dudes coming up in weight). When he steps up, he will get PUNKED just like Berto. Broner looked like he was gonna piss on himself when they asked who's next...he ain't trying to fight no real cats! GR Jr. said it best when he said getting hit is part of the game. GR Jr would have scrapped with that guy and finished him in that 2nd round.
broner.
But he needs to lose those useless and uncharistical defensive maneuvres nad be who he is.
He is beautiful when he uses his jab and comes forward and his defense is just as good if not better.
this is true.
Broner.

Broner. I like his cockiness and that he is drawing people already. He should be able to get better sparring/management/promotion/ etc. because he will bea bigger draw. Russell will be great too, but I'm going with the Problem.
I go with Russell, yeah I think he lacks power but still he seems to be more polished to me. Broner is a good fighter dont get me wrong but, like others say He is trying to be something he is not. Plus I see vulnerabilities in him when being pressured. At least he is starting to use his jab unlike his previous fights where he tried to counter all day.
both will be STARS IMO
but Broner might actually end up being the bigger star because of his Charisma and Trash Talking
Seem like he would be more willing to be that next "Villain In Boxing"...he is already getting a lot of HATE lol
I think Russell, he has great speed and has very good defensive instincts even though he got tagged a couple of times by Ruiz but against Ruiz he was more aggressive than he normally is and he seems to be developing more power as he goes along.
Broner has very good speed and stuff but he looks like he wants to be something he's not, sort of like a Mayweather-lite. And it'll end up with him being caught and tagged one day when he steps up. Likely by a right hand inside the shoulder.
