I was reading "An Unforgivable Sport" by Thomas Hauser and one of the chapters was talking about Kelly Pavlik way back in 2008 when he was coming off a win in a rematch over Jermain Taylor. In the post-fight press conference, Bob Arum said that Kelly Pavlik was the BEST MIDDLEWEIGHT HE HAD EVER SEEN..." but wait, it gets better... HE LATER WENT ON RECORD TO SAY THAT KELLY PAVLIK WAS EVEN BETTER THAN MARVIN HAGLER. This was Kelly Pavlik coming off of a back-to-back victory over Jermain Taylor. Seriously, when the hell had Kelly Pavlik looked so good that he had to be compared to Marvin Hagler?! That's the kind of **** that makes you do a spit-take over your laptop and cause it crash. Pavlik over Hagler? Hagler would've raped Pavlik. :nonono: Bob Arum is a disgusting weasel that has been given mainstream credibility due to Pacman/pactards.
