looks up "beast" in urban dictonary theres a pic of hatton
Man, you're the only yank I see on here that cheers for Ricky.
Green K brah!
Tsyzu was past his prime when he fought Hatton? You can not be serious. Hatton was a MAJOR underdog when he fought Kostya and Kostya was in the form of his career up to that point. In hindsight everybody is a genius and they come out with the most ridiculous claims but where were all the doubters before that fight too place?
De La Hoya/Pacquiao
Its not what u do before the fight, its what u do after...
Rio walks through Hatton. It would end up being a battle of who's more durable and who hits harder and Rios would win.
..............just no
hatton is no beast.RIOS IS A BEAST,BAM BAM BY DESTRUCTION.

I am just mad that he is fighting Murray instead of Mitchell. It just shows you how Frank Warren loves to keep his fighters in England.
It was Mitchell who was suppose to fight Rios but with his recent criminal convictions he would have been refused a visa, that's why Murray got the shot.

I agree that Hatton was still a big underdog, which is why the win holds up so well, and Tsyzu was still the man in the division and had been for a long time. But he was 36 and had only fought twice in 3 years prior to that.
rios is too big for hatton. hatton was very overrated as a fighter. his clam to fame is one fight with tszyu. i remember him getting tagged by carlos maussa CARLOS MAUSSA! rios dishes out punishment as well as take punishment and keep coming forward. you have to be a counterpuncher and boxe for all 12 rounds to beat this guy.ricky cant do that. ricky doesnt have the power to stop or hurt rios. 1st 4 rounds it wud be a war. i wud see bam bam breaking him down late TKO.
Nice shout with this fantasy match up. I have only seen a little of Brandon Rios and he does remind me a lot of Ricky Hatton in more ways than one.
In 2005, Ricky was in his prime and he would have beaten Brandon Rios with experience alone. It is unfair on Brandon because we have yet to see him in a even match up.
I am just mad that he is fighting Murray instead of Mitchell. It just shows you how Frank Warren loves to keep his fighters in England. As much as the Hearns annoy me, they have taken their fighters from nowhere to the big stages in America within a year. Frank Warren will inevitably lose Degale and Groves if they are stuck in London fighting a bunch of journeymen whilst they see the likes of Macklin, Barker and Brook in big fights across the pond.
I'll second that!
Good analogy because we know Hatton will love to stand and brawl with Rios. I agree though, Rios get's hit more than I would like to see but he's working on it.
What I love about the kid is his uppercuts inside, they are as accurate as I have seen from any fighter.
yo i love dudes array of punches. i'm pumped that boy's on the cotto undercard!
rios isn't overrated. he is what he is, a come forward take no shiit type of fighter. he's not going to slip punches, but in the form of margarito is coming to steam roll you regardless of what you bring. great boxers with awesome stamina beat rios.
in this fight .... i like rios.

yes hatton was the underdog, but tszyu was still past his prime when he fought hatton. but none the less, he was still a quality fighter.

But so is Hatton, imo. Don't think he stopped many fighters as good as Rios is now. Tsyzu and Castillo, were really good but both past their best days.
