Cotto needs to stand in the middle of the ring more and sit on his punches, if he an do that he'll TKO Margarito and maybe even score a KO. Cotto wasn't able to hurt Margarito last fight because he was throwing most of his punches on his back leg.
CLEARLY they are more focus on outboxing Margarito instead of fighting aggressive.
Well, he hit him with everything but the stool and the referee in the last fight and Margarito just jogged on through it. He'll have to outbox him or land something big to the body, which isn't likely. He really needs to be training for defense against the uppercut though. That's basically the only shot Margarito hit him with the entire fight, but he hit him with it often.
I like the footwork. But the question is can he keep that up for 12 rounds? Margarito is gonna put pressure on him all night and that style requires a lot of energy and stamina. We'll see. Cant wait!
That drill at 2:41 is the most peculiar aspect of the training. I read that the purpose of it is to get the boxer dizzy and then continue training. It's a way of simulating the feeling a fighter gets in a fight after receiving a hard punch.
Did he just said his hands was bothering him?
Ohh **** didn't hear that the first time I watched the video I hope he is just talking about the way he was wrapping his hand and not about a hand injury.
