Arum wants DLH, whos been retired for 4 years, against Chavez Jr in 2012 instead of fighting Martinez or Canelo?? Talk about being a straight up fraud.:nonono:
You can clearly see Oscar's left eye and nose are busted up. The point is, Steve Forbes did this to Oscar. Steve Forbes!
If Stevey did this back in 08, why in the world would we want to see JCC jr vs DLH in 2012? Let me guess, the story line right?
I am unable to see that video from Canada...but I watched that fight and I posted a pic of what Oscar looked like at the end of the fight without a mark on his face...as I did as well after the Pac fight... which you have no comment about. The Forbes fight was an unanimous decision and Pac beat Oscar into retirement...so as far as I'm concerned there is nothing further to discuss about it.
I'm not even arguing who who wins or losses re: Oscar vs Chavez JR...if you don't know the story line then you know nothing about boxing or that knee high JR stood in the ring next to his father looking at Oscar before Oscar beat-up his dad...that is the story line...as latinos say "venganza".
It's something Oscar and Arum have been discussing for years because they are promoters who make fights out of nothing...and are very successful at it. Chavez Jr has only fought B fighters or worse...he is not Forbes or anybody at all for that matter except the son of a legend who bears his name. Even a shot Oscar could win if he trains for it...and if he shows up unprepared he still can make a fight of it because Chavez brings nothing into it.
And if you think Forbes beat Oscar or Manny didn't bust up Oscar or Chavez is for real you are clueless and can think what you want...I couldn't care less.
edit: I was able to find your video here and saw nothing about Oscar being busted up or marked...
I think you think the 1st pic I posted is Oscar after Forbes...that pic is Oscar after Pac...the 2nd pic is Oscar after Forbes.
Not sure what you're talking about.
If Forbes didn't mess up his face, I don't understand how Pac did.
You're kidding right? Did you watch either of those fights?

post Forbes fight...
O ok.
Pac never messed up his face. He was perfectly fine.
Can you read? Take a look at the quote for god sakes...I said it ..."only Pac messed up his face". Plain English dude...what's with you?
Wasn't Oscar's face more busted up from Forbes than when he fought Mayweather?
I'm saying Steve won, but Forbes did bust him up.
That would be no...not a scratch...nor Mayweather for that matter...only Pac messed up his face.
Let's forget about Steve Forbes busting Oscar up.
We must have watched a different Forbes vs de LaHoya fight because the one I watch Oscar had an easy UD win and never got hurt once.
Chavez Jr has been groomed for a de LaHoya fight since day one...to bad it's all smoke and mirrors.
No, it only works for Jr. Oscar is shot and retired for 4 years now, no need to come back and give this bum a huge pay day.
As of today it hasn't even been 3 full years since his last fight.
You know what, you right having him go out as a quitting loser that cherry picked a LW. I like that storyline ending more so than going out in competitive fashion against a young undefeated up and comer.
An Oscar-JCC Jr fight is a good fight...There's nothing wrong with that fight. And, as of today it has NOT even been 3 full years since Oscar last fight.
If JCC jr beats Oscar. That would make a JCC Jr-Alvarez fight even bigger an mean more....If Oscar beats JCC Jr, he can retire not as a losing ass quitter getting dominated by a cherry picked LW. But, as a winner who beat a young undefeated up and coming title holder who was the son of the legend that he beatdown twice years ago.
There's a story behind this that work out great for whoever wins.
No, it only works for Jr. Oscar is shot and retired for 4 years now, no need to come back and give this bum a huge pay day.
I don't think Oscar coming back would garner as much revenue as some of you guys think. Reason why? Oscar is a lot older and no longer has the pretty boy looks, which were a huge factor in why he became a big time star. Also, Oscar's image has taken quite a few hits in recent months with all the sexual scandals. And lastly, the general public now realizes that Oscar was never that good to begin with and definitely won't be any good coming back after three years.
Why anyone would want to see this fight completely beats me.
In the bold: This is true.
I don't rate Chavez Jr at all either. Frankly, I think he's terrible.
Oscar coming back now though just doesn't appeal to me.
I thought if it was anyone though it would Canelo he makes his comeback for.
Either way it'll sell big I imagine. He won't win though, I imagine even if he's winning he'll lose. If he comes out of retirement to fight a Mexican up and comer it will be a passing of the torch thing.
I agree that an Oscar fight will sell.
And, I also think JCC Jr is terrible.
I think a Canelo fight for Oscar comeback might be a possibility as well. And, a lot of people that are screaming against this fight would not have those strong feelings for Canelo-Oscar. Which honestly is the same damn thing as Oscar-JCC Jr. But, that's neither here nor there.
To me this is more appealing than a JCC JR-Martinez fight. Because, the outcome for that fight is so damn obvious.
heres your logic, you keep saying it because it will be competitive, what you fail to realize is only you wanna see that sh!t my dude LMAO!!!
Notice my comment mentioned nothing about a SRL at all. Comprehend...OKAY???
Sugar ray leonard was a much better fighter than Oscar anyway.. I wouldnt even mention Oscars ass in the same breath...
The point is this is whats wrong with boxing, when a fukkin bum, can get a fight with a cokehead, crossdressing ****** who admitted years ago he was washed up.... all because there is a story behind it!!
NO ONE STATED CHAVEZ JR WAS A FUKKIN MONSTER SON!!! LOL HES A FUKKIN BUM, AND DELAHOYA IS A COKEHEAD, AND FOR YOU TO EVEN MENTION THIS SH!T KNOWING ARUM MENTIONED THIS SH!T IS DISTASTEFUL AT best..
Thats why he called your ass the next BOB ARUM, ITS A BULLSH!T FIGHT, BUT YOU TRIED TO CREATE A FUKKIN BACK STORY TO ALLOW THE BUM SON OF A LEGEND (WHOM IS SCARED OF MARTINEZ) TO FIGHT A CROSSDRESSING DOPEHEAD for cold hard cash and increased recognition and glory and the pure robbery of the fans....
Since you agree Jr. is a fukkin bum, why give him the opportunity to shine even brighter?? Thats what you should be asking yourself JROSALES, not fukkin writing back stories... If you created a goddamn poll today people would try and hunt you down for wasting their time clicking on that goddamn topic...
No one wants to be raped, but ******s Jrosales, and are we now supposed to make fights for the casual fans now?? Cuz I know no real boxing fans would even dare get raped paying for that sh!t.... I wouldnt even stream it. When big fights happen, I usually have trouble getting onto boxingscene the same night after the fight. **** would be working that night though..lol
I would rather make love slowly to Esther from Sanford and Son, while eating a dog meat sandwich while watching MY MOM GET TAZED than watch that bullsh!t fight....
YOU NEED A TIME OUT JROSALES...
And, Hagler is much better than JCC Jr.
I doubt that JCC Jr is scared of Martinez. But, he can't fuck with Martinez.
It's not that I think this fight is a competitive. But, it's a not a huge mismatch compared to JCC Jr-Martinez.
Understand son?
:lol1:,
But, TBH I'm not sure if JCC Jr could give him the beating that I would love to see.
Now if it was Martinez, that would be a different story. I'm just not as impressed with JCC Jr as others might be that makes me believe this such a mismatch where Oscar has no chance. Even today's version.
I just don't think highly of JCC Jr at all. I favor JCC Jr in the fight. But, don't see a beating. What it can do though is if JCC Jr wins make the Alvarez or a even a Martinez fight that much bigger.
But, honestly I give today's Oscar a better chance in beating JCC Jr then I do JCC Jr beating Martinez.
I don't rate Chavez Jr at all either. Frankly, I think he's terrible.
Oscar coming back now though just doesn't appeal to me.

Let's forget about putting a prime JCC jr in with someone that's a real threat (i.e Martinez, Pirog).
Let's forget about the fact that people have been asking for JCC to step up his competition 4 years ago. Let's forget that.
Let's use Team Arum's/JRO's logic and throw him in there with someone who's pushing 40 and hasn't been at his best since he beat Mayorga in 2006.
Oh wait, I have a better idea. Let's put in on PPV!!!!!
WAR JCC Jr vs Oscar De La Hoya $79.99 PPV June 2012:headbang:
I don't have a problem with JCC Jr and Pirog...Make that fight. This is what I'm saying you're too stupid to understand. A JCC Jr fight against Pirog or Alvarez is better than a JCC Jr fight Oscar. no doubt about that. No one is arguing that at all. Again logic try using it.
Martinez though? That's not a threat that's a massacre. How can anyone want Martinez-JCC Jr? That would mean that Martinez would fight Barker and JCC Jr back-to-back WTF? How can you have a problem with JCC Jr-Oscar and not have a problem a real legit mismatch in Martinez-JCC Jr?
What's JCC Jr best win? Manfredo? Dudley? Zbik? Oscar even today's version might be a step up for JCC Jr, seriously.
I don't think Oscar coming back would garner as much revenue as some of you guys think. Reason why? Why anyone would want to see this fight completely beats me.
I think it would.
The nostalgic women and children from a decade ago who are now adults would fork out to see Oscar have one more match.
It would sell.
I don't want to see though personally.
