ALEX ARIZA: "I THOUGHT MARQUEZ WAS A TRUE MEXICAN WARRIOR...HE PLAYED IT SAFE"
"Marquez didn't come to fight; that was his plan, was to survive and try to take advantage and win on points. He didn't come to knock Manny out. I thought Marquez was a true Mexican warrior, was going to come and do exactly what he said and try to make sure it didn't go in the hands of judges, but he didn't. He let it go to the hands of the judges...you can't keep going backwards. Even though you're counterpunching beautifully and you're sticking to your game plan, this is a championship fight, man. This is a fight that had two controversial endings...Marquez played it safe and didn't want to take any risks. A true Mexican warrior big shot that he is and that he claims to be...What happened to all that blood, life, glory and all that other stuff that he said on 24/7? I thought he was going to leave it all in the ring, not play it safe. I never heard 'play it safe' ever come into play," stated world-class strength-and-conditioning coach Alex Ariza, who shared his thoughts on the outcome of last Saturday's fight, the performances of both Pacquiao and Marquez, their future plans and much more. Ariza needs to go away. He's a S&C coach, not a promoter, not a trainer and certainly not a fighter. He's got a lot of balls questioning Marquez's heart. Butthurt excuse ass making bitch.
probably this been said but was too lazy to read...but what happened to what manny said?..didnt he said he was going to clearly win this time or was going to KO marquez to leave no doubt that he was better..what happen to that?
Ariza your a ****ing bum yourself need we remind you your record in this sport
hahahahaha this is so true.
Ariza you fukking bum, have a drink :bottle: to drown your sorry a55 sorrows. Marquez refused to play the role of the punching bag (which strangely enough, has been played by Manny's past couple of opponents) and decided to become a live body. What happened? Pacquaio got outhustled, outmuscled and outboxed.

Ariza is an idiot... So Marquez wasn't going for the KO, that means he isn't a Mexican Warrior?
Well.. Manny didn't get the KO... what does that say about him? Hell... he didn't even get a knockdown...
The excuses and the **** that is coming from Manny camp and fans, is pathetic... Manny is a standup guy, but the company he keeps leaves alot to be desired.
Marquez went half way around the world to the Phillipine to confront PAC that that he won. He than wore his famous t-shirt that Pacquiao was next LOL. He said it would be a war if it ever happen again. When he got the fight he said he wasn't going to run like coward Mosley and was coming to KO PAC and not leaving it to the hands of the judges. What does he do on fight night...back up all night just countering PAC not taking any serious risk. In other words...ran like a puto.
Welcome to the world of Boxing! I didn't see Marquez running, that's called boxing, maybe Pacquiao should've learned by now and he wouldn't make so many excuses when a his opponents come prepared.
This is right
Pac could backpeddle if he wanted - and lets be honest here, pac showed he was an even better counterpuncher than jmm - the rounds where jmm was trying to be aggressive, pac won almost all of them, when pac was aggressive he at least was only slihtly behind or slghtly ahead.
all this stuff about jmm "boxing beautiully" is retarded - and it appears the judges agree. he was reduced to being the counterpuncher because he ttried to back up his ko guarantee and be aggressive which got his face turned into raw hamburger meat.
when it boils down to it; jmm was not putting on a boxing clinic, he was afraid to exchange with pacquiao because he knows pacquiao is superior.

Wow, really, ok. because Manny got exposed, can't cut off the ring, needed gifts from the judges, went back to the corner with his head down to pray because Marquez boxed him silly as the smaller man, the weaker man, the slower man, Marquez didn't fight bull$it!!!!!!!!!!!
what is up with all the excuses for the many "fish face" pacquiao camp. its called boxing not brawling. manny was out boxed. in boxing its effectiveness of the punches not the ammount of punches.

For some reason, in the last few day's the whole ideology of 'It's a championship fight! You don't go backwards in Championship fights' has emerged and it's possibly the most moronic sh*t I've ever heard.
I understand the notion of 'beating' the Champion despite never really been to big on it. If you win, you win, whether it's against a Champion or not. 'Having to beat them clearly' or 'having to take the fight to the Champion to win' is nonsensical to me, personally.
But, you can beat a Champion moving backwards, and dominating them. It's happens thousands and thousands of times. And it's not Rocket Science.
Ask Muhammad Ali, Willie Pep and the rest of them.
I agree. I think the judges believe all that taking it to the champion crap too.

That Toyman is a complete idiot.
Marquez works best off of his opponent's agression. Pacquiao didn't come to fight because he didn't want to take risks that would give Marquez an opening. Unfortunately because Pac came looking to counterpunch the counterpuncher he lost.
Pacquiao should have done what won him the last fight and got him 3 kd in the first; overwelm Marquez with his workrate and he might have gotten the stoppage, i really don't know why he didn't, he seemed to respect Marquez to much IMHO.
