Margarito is looking focused. For the first time ever Margarito is going to train like an elite Mexican fighter. I hope it works out for him and doesn't become a case of too little too late.
Hopefully Roberto Garcia starts taking all his top fighters to Temoaya. Thats where the top fighters are forged. Even if it isn't the Ceremonial center. Rios would be a total monster if he made that his training home.
Erik Morales trained there in his good days. For the pacquiao rematch he trained in veracruz at sea level and his legs went out in the 5th round or so. JCC trained in temoaya. Marquez till recently was up in the mountains, Castillo, etc. You name it they were up there 12,000 Feet of altitude +.
It is said that when you do that, besides making your workout more intense because of the lack of oxygen, it causes your blood cells to open up and intake more oxygen which allows Mexican fighters to have that renowned stamina.
I think so as well, too bad it's only 2 episodes
:(
I belive it's only two episodes because any more, would give us brain-gasms. HBO is just trying to protect us.
Awesome...can't wait! :boxing:
I just saw "Ring Life" with Antonio Margarito. Good clip...I've always wondered about his relationship with Capetillo after the handwrap incident.
It's a shame that they ended their friendship. If Antonio is clean and never really knew anything about the wraps, he must be pissed off (and even pissed off wouldn't BEGIN to describe how a clean fighter would feel if something like that happened). He said that he's bumped into Capetillo three or four times, but they don't talk anymore. The way Antonio refers to him is as if he's more disappointed in him than anything. I'm sure he was furious at Capetillo when he got in trouble in early 2009 (if indeed he was truly innocent).
Damn shame. I'm sure a lot of people were looking forward to Margarito making a lot of great fights and title defenses after his upset over Cotto...
Very interesting video...
Thanks! Should turn out to be one of the best 24/7's.

I'd rather watch that than watch pacquiao make his ppl watch one of his horrendous manilawood "movies".
