JMM will out box Manny again and "lose" another decision. This is so pointless. I just laughed when I saw the headline on the front page, but I'm so tired of this BS. This is exactly why I don't like Manny and his entire camp. It will be funny to watch the media spin this non sense if it happens. Hopefully Manny won't have "leg cramps" this time.
Marquez can keep trying to fight pac his way and not win each time becuase he isnt the agressor,he doesnt win enough rounds clearly enough, and his style will never favour mannys style to the judges.
they both just need to go for broke and either go to war to KO/tko the other as soon as they can,or go to war to wear each other down and get a late stoppage win, points and judges scorecards will never settle anything between the two!. :boxing:
I actually think Marquez holds the cards this time, the entire boxing community is on his side. The pressure would be on Pacman who had the fight in his backyard, at his weight, calling for the ko & got sonned. Manny would get more aggressive, then end up even more frusterated for wiffing & get outpointed even more thoroughly & somehow walk away with yet another weird win.
Like me believing JMM would give a good fight before the third encounter, I feel in the minority yet again.
If Márquez takes the fourth fight with Pacquiao, I expect him to be outpointed but not because Pacquiao becomes better, but because Márquez would be taking the fight solely on the $10 million payday.
I listen to Márquez's post fight interviews from different journalists and you can tell he's just disgusted and disappointed with the sport after last Saturday. When you have a fight you've been constantly fighting for and you finally get it, fight your ass off for a third time, and get the short end of the stick YET AGAIN, it's not just discouraging, it's just humiliating. It's a slap in the face. The fact that Márquez left the ring immediately speaks volumes about his stance on the whole issue. He's disheartened by the whole thing.
I seriously believe he should retire because that was the last high point in his career and secondly, how do you get up to fight on after that happened?
I really feel bad for him. I sound like a broken record player posting more or less the same thing, but I think he should take a page from Marvin Hagler and leave the sport on that note. He has nothing to be ashamed of ending his career like that and NO ONE would blame him after last Saturday, because I have a hard time believing he'll be 100% committed to the sport after the way he was treated on Saturday.
Marquez will go all out especially in the later rounds unlike this last time with his corner telling him he was winning the fight.
I think JMM should f*ck Bob and take on another fighter and leave Pac holding his own d1ck (with condom Manny) in the ring.
And still they won't give him the decision ... the only way for Marquez to get the win on his record is to KO Manny...
Exactly, how many times can you get short changed against the same guy?
Manny's leg speed wasn't there Sat...you could here comments from Roach in between rounds about it. The type of leg speed that he had in the Margarito/de LaHoya/Cotto/Hatton fights is what makes Manny great and I think it has diminished since his Congressman days. Congressmen don't make great boxers and there is a big difference in the type of life a hungry boxer lives and a politician. Maybe now he is realizing it and one career or the other needs to be put on hold. I think unless he takes a year off from politics and fights the rematch and then Mayweather 6 months later...he will continue to slide a bit in performance. I say take a year off from politics and then retire from boxing and run for president in 2013...if he loses his bid for president he can go back to boxing and then run for congress again after.
Leg speed definitely wasn't there - he started to get it going a little starting in round 4 but it's a lot different than we are used to - you're right that is what makes him great. Whether or not it's JMM style or a slight drop off in physicality, this has got to be addressed.
How the hell do you even hype it?
You can't do another 24/7.
What the tag-line? More Unfinished business?
That's a funny sig. But that is the truth. Result would be similar.

Marquez is at the age where unfortunately he can get old overnight. And that's the only way Pacquiao can win. And he will get all the credit in the world by the media when this happens. "See when Manny trains my way, we can beat anybody!". Lol.
Agree...you have to imagine that it's hard for a fighter of his age to get up to that level again for another fight quickly. He's got to be feeling very deflated right now and, like you said, the next fight night it could be exactly what we thought it might be this time and certainly what they're hoping for.
Either get old again or get so desperate to win the 4th fight that he starts to make mistakes trying to go for a KO, when it's been his ring intelligence that got him this far against Manny.
JMM will win more decisively if that is possible, this is a man who knows how to fight Pac.
Out of the 3 fights, I thought this one had the clearest winner, which was Marquez. Marquez won the second fight very close, but this one he won it 8-4. I don't see Marquez winning more decisevly than this at his age.

JMM can't win on the cards unless it's an absolute complete shutout with knockdowns....really, Arum just wants the KO. They are baiting Marquez to get more aggressive to win the next one.
Most know that it would be to his detriment to do this and it's killing them that JMM continues to maintain his poise, does not make dumb mistakes, and forces these to be highly competitive fights.

I don't know man. The thing that really bothers me with this fight is the fact that I don't think there's any way JMM can win a decision. It would be wrong for JMM to add another so-called "loss" to his resume.

And you might be correct.
