Man up time.
I think everyone needs to apologize for disrespecting a legend in Marquez by selling him short against Pacquiao.
I see a lot of debate as to who won etc. but what I don't see is posters stating how off they were via all the 1st round and under 8th round KO predictions.
I honestly predicted a 5 round beat down but after last Saturday I realize that these guys are made for each other and will always produce close fights.
I gained a new level of respect for Marquez Saturday night, and I admit I was severly off in my prediction.
Signing in here.
I got it spectacularly wrong too, I thought Manny would steam right through JMM and have the business done via TKO by round 8.
Manny got his ass whopped by JMM in my eyes. I have only seen the fight once, but I thought he lost. Arum will never let Manny face Mayweather now.
also...people were counting out marquez for all the wrong reasons, the main one was to discredit pac before it even started....regarding the weight , it was never a problem since jmm had been fighting around 145 even at lw and pac was never much bigger than that..having a nutritionist helped a lot too...now that the fight was close again and pac did not performed like what they expected, he aint that good now....you now hear people sayin , jmm is greater than pac..lol....theres always a fighter that can make even a great fighter look human, no one is exemted unless you duck real challenges...
I've said it once, I'll say it again, I'll say it a thousand times;
I apologize whole heartedly for writing Marquez off.
Damn near everyone on this forum was wrong about Marquez. And he proved once and for all that he can perform at Welterweight.
I have to count myself in with this as well. I didn't think he could perform at this weight against Pac.
I had him winning a very close decision and he clearly landed the cleaner harder shots, it was amazing to watch him break down such an amazing fighter like Pac.
His skill is on another level to Pac and it's clear to see that now.
Time to man up! I apologize to Marquez and all his fans, I like so many under estimated what he is still capable of doing. I had no faith in his ability after seeing what Mayweather did to him. I expected Pacquiao to TKO him and I missed that by a mile. I overrated Pacquiao's ability severely.
not if you count the knock downs...and you do know you count knockdowns right...
You are on full red alert defcon 1 damage control today.
But anyways, big ups to JMM who proved me wrong, I thought he was getting tko'ed in the 11th round. He gave PAC the business on Saturday, fan or not he made PAC look C level which is an accomplishment in itself. Hope he rides into the sunset with his head held up high.
Also were are all the posters claiming Marquez was too old, was complete sh1t as a WW, this was a cherry-pick, and how JMM would be affected by the weight?
I definitely didn't see any of that Saturday night.
Bob Aurum said that....when Floyd fought him back in 2009.
Should I remind you how that fight went?
The TS made this thread so he can look like less of a ball licking Pac stan when he maintains Pac won this one:thinkerg:
That is precisely what I think as well.
With his 'man up' and chit.
:lol1:
It was on HBO, Pac 148 JMM 150.

oh yeah, let us make bombs decide who win fights from now on and ignore the stats....lol
Didn't Marquez beat Pac on stats on their second fight? :dunno:

VIVA MEXICO!

I give him all the credit in the world - I just thought that it would be good for a few rounds but I was expecting that Pacquiao actually lands some shots on him and that it would be too much around the 8th round (cuts and stuff) and that the ref would stop it... but boy did I was wrong - it was the easiest fight of the 3 for him - he wasn't even bleeding - he masterfully controlled the pace and distance - everything that happened because of Marquez doing or because he wanted to trade (and in most case had the last punch that backed Pacquiao off) landed the cleaner and harder punches - make Pacquiao quit in the process from round 9 on... and totally schooled him with simply basic boxing...
All credit in the world to Marquez... even though I always wanted to see May-Pac and a defeat of Pacquiao would have taken a lot away - even though he got the decision everybody knows he lost... I just feel sorry for Marquez...
You can have the first how you want and the second fight how you want - but the third fight was crystal clear - my utmost Respect to Marquez - he made Pacquiao look like an amateur
i apologize for thinking manny was better than he is. i was wrong. my fault. manny u proved me wrong. u have not changed much since the last jmm fight. in fact, uve gotten worse.
