That is what needed to be said from him, yet of course, it wasn't. Or in fact, it was, just not in words.
Juan Manuel hurt Manny several times during the fight. Manny NEVER hurt Marquez.
Manny walked back to his corner a dejected man. Kneeled down, buried his face in his hands. He knew he'd lost. I honestly felt bad for him, then even more so when they lifted him up, paraded him around the ring. He felt ashamed.
The feeling of sympathy sort of vanished with his post-fight comments. A real fighter, an honest fighter, would tell his fans the truth. "I'm sorry, I lost the fight and the judges are either paid off or idiots." I mean, after all, he knew it himself.
Manny isn't an honest fighter. He's a politician.
Hard to remember a fighter ever saying they lost, when they've been given the victory in a close fight.
Ritchie Woodhall did when he got the nod over Glen Cately in 1998.
Round 1 = Marquez
eplantion: Like Max kellerman said was a high intensity round even if their wasnt
any action and the little their was Marquez won the cleaner punches and Was able
get off a 4 3 punch combo to Manny body and finished the round stronger then Pac
All pac did was look busy with his foot movement and body movement but did nothing
effective.
Round 2 = Marquez
explantion: Marquez again won the cleaner punches he had the better and effective
combo. Marquez landed a 3 punch combo body shot, upercut , over right that made
Pacquaio reset. Everytime time pacquaio attemped a body Shot he got countered with
a Overhand right. Manny tried to land serveral punches he was fast on his feet,
tried to give pacquaio angles but was unsucessful, Marquez did not even have to
reset after Pacquaio's attempts.
Round 3 = Pacquaio
explantion: Pacquaio aggresion was finnaly effective in this round, He forced
the tempo/pace of the fight to speed up and as a result he was landing the cleaner
effective punches. Pacquaio right hook was landed every time he threw it. Pacquaio
agression forced the tempo of the figth in this round and Marquez could not time
him correctly to counter effectively.
Round 4 = Pacquaio*
explaination: Agression on Pacquaio part again was effective and he was able to use
his agrresion to open up angles and score on marquez while marquez countered Instintively
rather then using timing, This was all cause cause of Manny Agression + angles was giving
marquez trouble.
* Close round could have went to either person honestly, as Not one punch went unaswered
So we look at the next option and thats who made who do what they wanted. In this round
Pacquaio agression forced marquez to fight Pacquaio fight and at a pace he didnt not want to.
Round 5 = Marquez
explaintion: Non needed. Marquez pop Pacqauio at will. Pacquaio had no agression just head movement
so he did not even seem to be busy like he normal does. marquez Landed and I wont say dominated
but controled the round.
Round 6 = Pacquaio *
explaintion: this round was extremly close. Pacquaio won for the more telling blows, meaning
he was landing hard punches on marquez but marquez looked as the more better puncher
but he punches was not landing most were blocked. But the overall feel of this round was
that it was a marquez round but he landed nothing significant where Manny landed the real
telling blows
* This round was close those who score aggresion regardless of effectiveness will give
marquez this round because he looked like the busier fighter but accomplished nothing
So I expect 50/50 form peopel on this round.
Round 7 = Marquez
explaintion: Marquez round easy landed the better punches and had the better ring generalship
Manny looks amazing cause he foot work is amazing but this is boxing if that amazing foot
work is not effective it does not matter. Marquez picked up from round 6 this time he timed
Pacquaio correctly and landed the clearner punches.
Round 8 = Marquez
explationion: Marquez had him timed perfectly now, everything Pacquaio tried he got countered
this was a boxing match. pacquaio did not try to do anything except stay in the pocket and
try to land something but landed nothing of any signifcant and plus marquez after he landed
forced Manny to reset.
Round 9 = Marquez
explaintion: Marquez landed a 5 combination on Pacquaio. While pacquaio was trying to look
like he is the flashy fighter with his footwork and fake pump with his punches he did nothing
effective. Every rush was countered with a better set of punches by marquez.
Round 1 = Pacquaio. But was a draw
explation: this round was a draw to be truthfulluy. Both did equally well in every aspect, Aggresion, effective
punching, and since manny is the champ you have to do a lil more if everything is tied on
the judgung criteria when things are tie, so the round is automatically manny.
Round 11 - Pacquaio
explainton: pacquaio won. was more effective and forced marquez to figth his fight.
Emmnuel gave this round to Marquez but this is not a marquez round. he was active and
counteruing but was not effect. Pacquaio was being the effictive aggresor and making
marquez reset.
Round 12 = Marquez
explantion: Maruqez won hard and smart. He beating Pacquaio in every category.
landed cleaner punches better ring generalship. Pacquaio was frustrated and unable to
do anything except keep bouncing and looking busy but un effective boxing wise. easy round
for marquez.
Overall 7-5 Marquez
try watching it with out the biased opinions of the hbo commentary team.
im filipino and i do believe 100% Marquez won the fight by landing more clean, solid and crunchier punches than pacroid. Sige bigyan nyo ako ng manga insults wala akong pake elam! Marquez won! Pagod na ako sa mg mayayabang na pilipino. oh ano ka ngayon?! lol stupid ass nuthuggers
And theres my proof that im filipino (who believes marquez owned pac) just in case some uneducated kid tries to say "Oh you dont like pacquiao?! you must be a ______"...
we dont need ur newbie opinion regardless where u from......u dont judge fights by just watching it....try watching the replay score it round by round unless u dont know 10 pt system

no. manny was very disappointed because he did not KO jmm and because he did not beat him decisively, not because he thought he lost the fight.

Totally agree with your last sentiment. I was a fan of Pacquiao and Freddy but this has tarnished their reputations and all they have worked for. As they say it takes a lifetime to build a reputation and a minute to destroy it. This was an obviously corrupt decision and Manny shouldn't have said anything like "i won the fight", a disgrace. I don't know for sure who was in on what, I don't want to believe Freddy and Pac were, but someone was and the fighter and coach now look like chumps.

i love how people think punchstats are facts, or that they always tell the story of a fight. Way to let people know you have been watching boxing since 2009.
punch stats are defintely hell of a lot more accurate than just sayin " marquez won, watched it twice " bS.....sh1t is overplayed!
IMO people were expecting Manny to blow Marquez away and knock him out. Marquez was such an underdog (as much as 13 to 1) because they kept on looking where he was against Mayweather. They forgot that Mayweather and Manny fight so differently. Since this fight was made, I expected a close, competitive fight despite the weight and that's what we got.pretty much what i think.

Re-watching the fight ans unbiasedly as I can (fan of both but I'll admit I like pac more). Alot closer than I thought last night and with the exception of round 2 and 5, Pac out-landed JMM every round.

exactly. i feel like last night a lot of people just got caught up in the fact that soooo many thought this was a mismatch for some reason. Eventually the robbery claims will stop and some will accept that this was just a close fight. people who had manny losing 9-10 rounds are a bit off base if you ask me.
The fight was a classic, the loser of every close fight isnt getting robbed. thats just how it goes sometimes.
Could you imagine Tito Trinidad speaking through the HBO translator saying: "I was getting outboxed every round, I was very lucky he ran away and gave me the last three rounds because I would have lost."
I don't endorse a victory for either guy because I see the case for both men, but to say that Pacquiao should have said he lost the fight is ridiculous. I don't recall Trinidad saying he lost the fight to De la Hoya, or Holyfield saying he lost to Lewis the first time.
Hold Pacquiao to the same standard as anyone else.
Harry Reid, Bob Arum, NSC were all in this. Remember, this is Reid paying back Manny for Reid's Nevada win. Crooked azz Politicians
why dont u go back to ur country and give lectures on ur politicians than making comments on american commision, promoters and politicians!! Come to think of it, ur country is more corrupt than the one u mentioned not including the most kidnappings and worst traffic
