Reading the comments on this thread, I find it repulsive that many welcome the use of steroids to combat the possibilty of the opponent on steroids. Yet Floyd gets blasted for wanting stricter testing and an even playing field??? I despair sometimes, I really do. floyd doesn't want stricter testing. he wants his opponent to take tests that HE chose. to be administered by people HE hired. to be done during a schedule HE dictates (within two months of a fight). and for the record, i wish manny agreed to the random blood tests. personally, i think its really not actually better than random urine tests other than it being invasive and its simply a bluff of the mayweather camp to avoid a fight with manny. and its a bluff manny unfortunately didn't call.

The thing about that is Arum, Pac, and his team have already painted themselves into a corner when it comes to PEDs & testing. If Marquez wins, what are they going to say? He was on something? They've already come out saying how it's the commission's place to do the testing, and the commission knows what their doing. Are they going to take that back and start saying the exact same thing they condemned Mayweather for? I doubt it. The ONLY thing random blood tests have over random urine tests is the detection of HGH in the blood, and the benefits of HGH for boxers is questionable. random blood tests are indeed MUCH, MUCH better than a single urine test of which you know the schedule it will be taken. but the same can be said of multiple RANDOM urine tests compared to a single urine test the date of which is known. in short, there is actually little difference in random blood tests and urine tests benefits wise. however, not only are blood tests more expensive, there are risks involved since its an invasive procedure. Uhmmm you better go and do some research because you dont grasp the concept in the first place ,, the whole reasoning behind random blood testing is not aimed at trying to catch them its always been its deterrent value , its because an athlete is much more unlikely to use PEDS knowing his blood is in the hands of the laboratory to be tested then and again anytime in the future as technology gets better , thats a very scary thought to an athlete that stands to lose his whole career down the toilet , OST is a very powerful deterrent . And blood testing has also caught many cheats the world over , the Olympics is most powerful sporting body in the world they dont implement this for no reason . well if it was meant as a deterrent then it failed miserably since Conte and Co have been laughing their way to the bank for YEARS. and as for the fear of being caught, MOSLEY was caught. what was his punishment? getting a mega fight with BOTH floyd and Pac. (talk about winning the lottery twice!) Conte was convicted of cheating, but now supervises the nutrition of world-class fighters. PEDS has been associated to Roach fighters before and one of the former trainers there Justin Fortune was a user of PEDS , do these associations make you suspicious of Pac considering he refused testing for 3 yrs and is in a gym where PEDS have been used in the past ?
