Canelo vs Kirkland

This fight favors canelo a lot and that is why his handlers are already talking about it before Canelo fights cintron. They know it is good publicity with little risk.

There is starting to be a nice bit of great fights brewing at 154 and also 160 as well. Wouldn't mind seeing a tournament at those classes.

the way canelo is being promoted and as champ i think they are doing a great job with him. Great win for jk but i still think he gets destroyed by body shots and right hands from cinnamon. If you realize that there are other boxers and promoters who are ruining boxing right now and people clap to that crap they serve you thats fine. In other words you have no problem with him avoiding the true top fighters in the division. Even with his paper title. That speaks for itself.

Canelo is a title holder which means nobody should have to "give him time" to do anything. Until he fights and beats a true live fighter my opinion of him as a fighter will remain the same. Canelo couldn't even stop an overmatched Alfonso Gomez in 3-4 rounds. And yes, that stoppage was bogus. So it's highly unlikely that he'll have the easy fight with Kirkland that you expect. He's not going to fight Kirkland anyway so it's a moot point. Kirkland VS Alvarez Kirkland has a glass jaw. Angulo great puncher but not accurate, Alvarez will exploit this anytime of the day! Alvarez will knockout Cintron, and strongly believe this fight will be set up for May!!!!!

Finally someone knows boxing! canelo should fight kirkland...i mean why do you need more time to prepare for kirkland. If you dont have the chin now, what difference does it make a year from now. Canelo can beat this guy, would be a nice notch on his belt but his people are protecting the f out of this guy despite having no problem making him a paper champ Kirkland gots no CHIN!!!!!!!!!!! Plus aint canelo 21 let him evolve get better with time learn a thing or two. If they do fight i see canelo stopping jk in 3-4 rounds canelos right hand is going to be landing everytime he fires it. Why do people want to see this canelo kid lose? I dont want him to lose. I just want the fights to happen. You just said Canelo's right hand is going to be landing everytime he throws it so why must we wait for this fight to happen? If its that easy then you are clearly saying he is ready right now! Imma put my money on Canelo in a close fight, but I just dont get the fact that he is walking around as a champion and ppl saying he still needs time to develop. When will Canelo be ready? He is beating former champions which is a good thing, holding a WBC title with several title defenses, has nearly 40 total fights with 250+ rounds (way more then Kirkland) and according to GBP, his resume in Mexico was against quality opposition so I think he is ready, dont you?

Kirkland is just a headless chicken. Canelo would beat him. Although, there are slim chances for this fight to happen.

Canelo vs Kirkland is an excellent fight. Alvarez may be young, but the dude is sitting on a world title in a stacked division. He isn't a fraud like Chavez jr; it's put up or shut up time. Unless Arum is willing to cash in Chavez Jr against Canelo in his next fight (and I think he is), Chavez needs to fight Kirkland in the first half of 2012.

I'd favor Kirkland to beat Alvarez quite easy but GBP won't let Alvarez in the lion's den yet.

I give Golden Boy about a 1% chance of actually making this fight. They're going to make Kirkland fight Lara or Molina or someone else just to keep him away from Canelo. I guarantee it. Exactly. With that said, Kirkland would beat the snot out of the overprotected Canelo.

I thought the winner of Kirk-Angulo was a mandatory challeger for Canelo? no. it was announced as a semifinal.
