It just seems like that is the most realistic thing that's going to happen. Everything Arum has said this past week almost confirms he has NO INTENTION of making a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. Besides, he'd already lined up Margarito, Mosley, and Marquez early in the past, when he was supposedly trying to make a Floyd fight happen. Bradley is more of the same.
Granted, Bradley would be the best opponent Pac has faced since Marquez in 08' or Morales in 05'. I would give Pac about as much credit as I gave Floyd for beating Hatton back in 07'. Both were prime, unbeaten, top 10 P4P. Good pick for Pacquiao, but not Mayweather or Martinez. I do believe it is Arum, not Pacquiao, holding up the fight. Always have. Either Pac is truly reluctant to agree to the random testing protocol without a cutoff date, or he just does anything and everything that Arum wants him to.
So, given the facts that Sergio already came out last month and confirmed negotiations with Floyd, his management team said he could return in March against Macklin or in May for a "big fight", and also the fact that Sergio himself ruled Pacquiao out yesterday given Pac's 147 lb demand, anyone else think Mayweather-Martinez on Cinco De Mayo next year?????
Also, if the fight is anywhere from 150-152, what do you think??? Personally, Floyd doesn't get as much credit at 150-152 as he would at 154, but still it's a huge fight and puts him ahead of Pac P4P again.
Anyone else think Mayweather Martine

Sergio is fighting Macklin on St. Patty's day at MSG. Like I said, let it go already. If it didn't happen in Dubai last year, it's not happening in Vegas next year.
Good post, but has no relevance because Sergio ruled Pac out yesterday.
When Mayweather-Ortiz was rumored, people shot that down and said it's bulls**t and that Ortiz will most likely make his first title defense against Selcuk Aydin...I hope you remember that rumor. I have no doubt that if Mayweather-Martinez doesn't happen, Sergio will fight Macklin in March. I don't expect any big announcement on anything until early to mid December, either way. Mayweather-Pacquiao probably won't happen, as Arum has made it painfully obvious he doesn't want it to. Do you really think Arum and team Pac intend on making a Floyd fight???
Still, the latest news regarding anything with Sergio is that he said Mayweather is a very real possibility. I am not knocking you or anything, but Pac is NOT happening, and Floyd IS a possibility, as Sergio just said yesterday.

:haha:
You mean when Pacquiao was a 2-1 underdog and virtually all boxing scribes and the vast majority of fans thought he was committing suicide by taking on Oscar?
http://www.adamtglass.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/photobucket-captainhindsight.png
SO, you though Oscar had a chance in that fight???
So, Floyd went up to 154 and beat Oscar, and probably got ZERO credit from you. But, Pac beats him at 147, coming off a loss to Floyd and a not so hot outing against Forbes, and get's big credit from you??? You're the epitome of the whole "People give Manny credit for beating so and so, and diss Floyd for beating the same guy first".
If Mayweather actually fought Morales, I would seriously says it's as bad as when Pacquiao fought De La Hoya in late 08', maybe even worse.

Let it go, already. It's been about a year and a half of flomos desperately trying to convince themselves Floyd is fighting Martinez. How many missed Dubai appointments will it take before you get the point? Dibella himself late last week said there is nothing happening on that front. He was actually 'guardedly optimistic' about Pac-Martinez happening instead.
Apparently you missed the Martinez' interview where he ruled Pacquiao out, after Pac demanded he go down to 147 lbs, and in that same interview said Floyd is a real possibility.
I am just saying, if it does happen, what will you say then??? "Martinez was never that good anyway". I can hear it now.
i think if it's any mexican, it's saul alvarez. no one would be stupid enough to pay for a morales fight, even with a good undercard. i can't see it being martinez cause if ortiz didn't do as great, martinez will do less. alvarez has a following so i think it could be him if anything.
Mayweather-Ortiz didn't do that great???? It sold 1.25 million PPV's,t he same number Manny did with De La Hoya and Cotto.
Mayweather-Martinez on Cinco De Mayo could sell 1.1-1.3 million PPV's, even though Sergio isn't Mexican, especially if it had a good undercard.
People forget that Ortiz was NOWHERE NEAR a PPV star, and Floyd did 1.25 MILLION PPV's with him, and it made the 4th most money for non-heavyweight fight in PPV history. How is that not a success??? Ortiz was a good pick as well, coming off wins, and a huge win over previously unbeaten Berto, and Ortiz was in his prime, looking better than ever.
Mayweather-Pacquiao doesn't happen, Arum doesn't want it to. It's painfully obvious. Mayweather-Pac on Cinco De Mayo, with the right undercard, could sell 3 million+ PPV's. Arum is a f**king moron.

it would be alot better matchup than morales. This fight is a good plan b if pac/may dont happen
Do you honestly think Arum and team Pac intend on making a fight with Floyd??? If they do and always have, why didn't they sign the first contract when Floyd did, and why have they lined up Margarito, Mosley, Marquez, and now most likely Bradley, while they says "We want to fight Floyd".
Also, why can't Pac actually publicly say "I agree to testing without a cutoff date"????
If Mayweather fights Erik Morales, I am no longer a fan. You can quote me on that too.
People also said Mayweather was fighting Malignaggi and Matthew Hatton, Alvarez, Spadafora, and now Morales.
I guarantee you Mayweather won't fight Morales. It's a Pac left over and Morales is4-5 years removed from even being any good.
