It would sell and it's certainly credible.
Do you think Floyd would entertain a fight with Kirkland?
And who would win?
Me, I don't think Money would ever share a ring with the "Mandingo Warrior."
Even, Pacquaio vs. Kirkland would be interesting. How do you all seeing that one play out?

I was thinking about Kirkland. I would pay for this.
Kirk beats a less experienced Margarito clone and everybody goes nuts and automatically throw them in the ring with Floyd/Pac smfh!! Floyd would box circles around him!!
If age doesn't suddenly smack Floyd in the face...NOBODY and I mean NOBODY beats him from 154 n down...just I'm opinion!!
And quit saying Floyd can fight at 54...he did that for the bestest ish in boxing history...not just bcuz!! If u honestly think he felt comfortable at that weight ur crazy...he still comes in under 47 for him fights and weighed in at 150 against Oscar.
Canelo would be the obvious money fight if Floyd wanted one at 154, but coming off a win like this and with the "mini-Tyson" hype Kirkland will without a doubt receive now, Mayweather-Kirkland could be pretty big.
I don't think Mayweather would consider any fight above welterweight except Martinez though. Yes Floyd loves money, but no one except Martinez does anything for Floyd's legacy, and I do think he cares about that. If he's going to risk going above 147 again, Martinez is who he would fight.
Yeah I agree, but Cotto or Canelo does more for Floyd than Kirkland, I don't get how top skank doesn't see that. Remember beating Cotto or Canelo equals 2 time jr middleweight champ. That's record setting yet again that does wonders for legacy bro. Plus he won't need catchweights or doctored up rankings to do it.
No the line was because the matchup makes no sense. All those excuses you gave as to why Floyd won't fight the real fights at 154 are stupid.
Cotto being Manny's left overs is why Cotto-Floyd at 154 for Cotto's belt & recocgnized ring number 1 makes less sense than Floyd-Kirkland, please.
Not willing to whore Canelo out for a big payday? If you followed boxing you would know that there was talks for years now about Canelo-Floyd, true story, also that Floyd loves wbc belts,(the one Canelo now owns).
Martinez brings no money? Floyd sells fights by himself, Martinez-Floyd is the biggest fight that can be made with Floyd vs any fighter not named Pacman. Besides Floyd won't be any more than a 2 to 1 favorite in a fight he could likely lose, that alone sells the fight because people pay to see if anyone can beat Floyd.
Again the line was because Floyd has no reason, none to even bother considering Kirkland, so try again chump.
For anyone to even argue why Kirkland makes more sense that Floyd-Cotto, Canelo, or Martinez is beyond not knowing $hit. Carry on.

Cotto would be Manny's left overs.....this fight would never happen.
Martinez brings no more money than Kirkland and no belt would be on the line, so why not go for the overhyped glass chin fighter in Kirkland? Floyd would actually get a highlight real KO/stoppage and look like a monster whereas he would beat Martinez in a competitive fight.
Alvarez people have clearly stated they aren't going to whore canelo out for a big payday, something you would know if you actually followed the sport, and they plan to continue to build Canelo up. They have stated maybe a year or two down the road, but not right now.
Again, that slick line wasn't about the money, rather you were insinuating that Floyd was somehow scared of Kirkland. Why are you backtracking, and why is it that all you do is flame non-stop every chance you get?

huh? He was the exact same fighter who beat on those cans a few months ago. Nothing was different. None of those fights lasted long enough to see anything different. Only issue is he was knocked out in 1 of the fights, and guess what, his chin has proven to still be shakey.. And was proven to be shakey against conyers with anne wolfe far before ishida.
anne wolfe didn't do anything different except have his lungs available for more rounds.
having his lungs ready for more rounds was one of the key factors in his win last night
doubt PAC or Floyd would fight Kirkland. Kirkland has A LOT of potential but it seems he's VERY DEPENDENT on Anne Wolfe, and without her he's not the same. I could see Floyd and Pacquiao beating the James Kirkland that fought last night. I could see Floyd out boxing James for a UD and I could see Pacquiao taking Kirkland into deep waters and drowning him. However look to see Kirkland against Alvarez, or the winner of Margarito/Cotto next.

Alight jacka$$ lets play. Why would Floyd fight Kirkland when Canelo & Cotto or even Martinez are or can fight at 154? That makes no sense, under any circumstance, that's why Floyd won't or doesn't have to fight him, end class chump.

Floyd or Manny would UD Kirkland. Kirkland is a huge puncher, but too slow to beat someone like Floyd or Manny. Don't get me wrong, I love Kirkland, but he doesn't beat them. The only guy I want to see Manny or Floyd move up in weight for is Sergio Martinez, it's the only guy worth the risk. He's #3 P4P in the world.
Let 154 play itself out a little more. They need to make Kirkland-Alvarez and Lara-Trout, and than one of those winners should fight Cotto.
Im with you bro. Mayweather vs. Kirkland is a borderline mismatch. Floyd plays target practice with him then most likely stops him.
Agreed. I'm going to log off because the stupidity/nuthugging is at an alltime high.
I'm actually arguing with some clown in another thread who claims that Angulo didn't punch himself out and now some idiot claims that Floyd wouldn't go anywhere near kirkland (as if he would be scared or something).
This board/site is complete sh1t.......
This is exactly the fight you take.......a guy who has a glass jaw, glaring weaknesses.....but just got a great win, and has some buzz.
If I'm Floyd I would be all over this fight.
BTW I called you an idiot because you are just trolling. I know your going to claim your not, but let me ask you this; Why would Floyd avoid kirkland? Non trolling answer please.

Mayweather would get arrested for murder if he ever fought Kirkland.
I'll leave it at that.
Pacquiao would get the death penalty for killing Kirkland.
don't ever put that guy in the ring with May and Pac
