Naz never fought anyone as good as Pacquiao or Marquez. He did beat some very good fighters but all but a couple of them were past their best. We all knew who the big test was....Barrera! and he failed.
For people to say that Nas was not motivated for the Barrera fight is the biggest crock of **** i've ever herd in my life! The only explanation i could think of for that is they surely were not into boxing at the time. Naz-Barrera was the fight we had been talking about for about 6 years before it happend! It was always the big one.Ofcourse he was motivated. The problem Naz had is when he stepped up his caliber of opponents he struggled. Back when he was fighting tom dick or harry in the UK he would look great, when he had to fight top fighters he just was not the same. The very good fighters he did beat were old compared to him.
It's easy to think that Naz was a lot better than he actually was.
Barrera was the biggest fight of his career, but it did seem to come at a time when he wasnt very focused. He was neglecting his boxing skills and trying just to KO evryone with a huge shot. Before the KO would come more naturally. And the doc does show how bad he was in training and how Manny wasnt happy at all with how it was going.
I still think he was exposed by the better quality opponents before fighting Barrera, but he wasnt quite the same fighter he used to be.
nope
1. anybody with pacs speed would batter him, naz would be destroyed by somebody with more speed than him because he didn't work the fundamentals too well. Result Pac batters him for late stoppage/UD
2. anybody with marquez's skills and ability to adapt would expose naz's weaknesses - Result marquez schools him for a lopsided UD.
naz looked great against decent/average/old fighters but the greats like manny or marquez BARRERA or morales would all beat him
Remember this is 126 Pac.
Still one handed. Still wild.
Hamed also had the punching power advantage and Hamed had a solid chin as well.
And Marquez probably would have schooled him at times.....but Hamed would still land something. Hamed had mean power. Certainly more power than the guys who almost turned the lights out on Marquez at 126-130.
good post!!!...imo Hamed catches BOTH and gets them outta there....Naz was a REAL puncher!!
Did you watch the video?
Yeah i watched it, i've seen it all before. You cant judge his training for a fight with 10 minutes or even 60 minutes of video footage.
Hameed is known for his ring entrances then his fights. guy was just an entertainer. never thought he was good. if he fought against morales, marquez or pacquiao he would have lost to all of them too.
In other words, he was a tomato can opener dressed in a clown suit.
LMAO... No.
A guy with no heart isn't beating either JMM or Pacquiao at 126, because at one point or another in the fight they are gonna have to dig deep. I honestly think he didn't come back because he knew that he would get his shit tossed again by any of the top dogs (MAB, Morales, or JMM). The beat down MAB gave him was a reality check for him that he wasn't nearly as good as he thought he was and that there was a significant gap between himself and the elite.

you can't expose a guy who was the top fighter in his division for years.

you need to be barrera skill level to make hamed headbutt the ringpost.
the masterful barrera was just on another level.
126 pac was clearly inferior to prime 122-126 barrera. much , much inferior.
raw pac was closer to like dumb indian morales level.
What do you mean?? barrera grabbed him and pushed him into the cornerpost. He was deducted a poiht for it.
Hamed won like 4 rounds so hardly exposed.
Also he wasn't even in the right mind frame for the fight. He was not motivated and far too arrogant.
Watch this and tell me he was working hard.
He was so arrogant that he generally trained less than 3 weeks for any fight.
:lol1:
Marquez would've boxed that clown's ears off and Manny would've knocked him into a coma.
Hamed was exposed by Barrera and then instead of going back into the ring to redeem himself, he decided it would be better to pack his louis vuitton bags and run home, never to be heard from again.
This.

hamed is purely a british hype nothing more.
Hamed became a big star because of his entertainment factor, but also because he was amazing to watch. His speed, power and KO's were spectacular. So that isnt just hype.
Also he was FW champ for 6 years, beat 9 champions including all the other FW title holders.
He wasnt as great as he said he was, but he deserves respect as a fighter and people should recognise what he did for the lower weight divisions and boxing in general.
im one of hameds bigests fans but jmm, mab , pac n el terrible all beat him, maybe not by much but they wud beat him.
hamed is still number 1 and unrivelled entertainer in the sport.
boxing needs more naseems.
I truly believe Naz would've knocked out the featherweight version of Pacquaio.
Marquez has the style to beat Naz but if he got caught, it would also be a wrap. I'd favour Marquez but he'd have to box the whole fight.
Hamed was a good little fighter but no way he beats Pacquiao or Marquez at 126
He doesn't beat Morales , Gamboa, either.
get the **** out of our college football thread with your garbage.

True or False? Hamed would have knocked out 126 Pacquiao and 126 Marquez. | BoxingScene Community
