we should judge this PPV numbers post their delahoya fight. pac is not really known before that. and besides pac is not from the US. what a drawing power he has globally. 50-50 is just fair knowing the class of Floyd and his zero sh*it his been bragging about.. after the JMM III ive been leaning totally to floyd. but now, its back to pac... just a little I know he can pull it off. JMM is his daddy though.
That Cousins kid is really the cornerstone, the man of teh franchise :nonono: The Maloofs just needed an excuse to vent out after that Anaheim misadventure.
they can't wait 'til the next big recession so they can spend all their money renovating their casino.
stupid cunts.
kings fired westphal.
should have fired the owner.

Mike and Oscar are PPV legends/kings
Chavez was too in his time. Different market then but he set records for non-heavies in his time with Camacho and then Pea. Floyd and Manny are there now too. They are easily on par with Oscar at his peak even if they won't do it as long.
Mike was a different level though. Think...NONE of his title fights outside Spinks in the 80s were PPV. Ruddock, after the Showtime move, made him regular there.
I was there live. It was on regular HBO.
how many fights have you seen live?
must be a lot.
i saw a picture of you ringside at the guilledo-wilde fight.
And when you consider that Holyfield and Tyson were earlier than Oscar, no depression.recession, and cheaper tickets............................
And the Dollar was worth double what it is today.
Mike did it with far fewer PPV appearances than Oscar too. Just looking...
Mike = 13 headliners
Evander's had like 20 (plus an undercard appearance or two)
Oscar at least 23.
Mike is still pretty much the king.
Great PPV #'s for Manny, still not as good as the #'s Floyd does against the same opponents.
No contest with DLH, Marquez numbers aren't exactly fair and other than that... I think the Mosley and Hatton numbers are relatively close
Damn u still stuck on her huh?
lol not letting me watch boxing at ur place will get me over you quick. I just remember cause Cotto fought on the undercard.
can you imagine Pac/JMM with Cotto on the card and its not PPV lol those were the times.
I remember, in fact I've mentioned it several times on BoxingScene. My favourite comment about this was when larry Merchant was on a Mayweather fight and was actuallt showing the viewers people walking out in the middle and the tiny arena more than half empty. He said that mayweather was the only good fighter he knew who is absolutely no draw at all, that people regularly walk out during his fights.
As it happens, I like scientific boxing, but I just can't understand the recent cult following he seems to have generated, as he just isn't THAT good.
The persona man... that's what draw's people to him.
