I made a comment to Steve Kim on twitter about how Dan Rafael tweet from earlier today, where he basically called out Steve over his tweet on how he heard a rumor that the Ortiz-Mayweather PPV did as low as 850,000 buys, caused a lot of back lash for him.
Steve Kim responded back to me by saying "Dan is a shill, flat out, a gullible one at that"
These are my two favorite writers that cover boxing so I find this all very interesting.
Kim is a fuken idiot who only talks **** about boxing. This guy spends 90% of the time ****ting on boxing. I followed him on twitter for his news. But he spends it throwing nothing but weak ass zingers. Best follow and writer is Gabriel Montoya
I don't think he s***s on boxing, he just points out all the BS that happens.

how nice two out of shape d*ckheads arguing about a fighter neither one of them likes very much. am i the only one who sees the irony here? btw, kim is obviously biased. whenever he releases a rumor about floyd he always makes the rumor a poor one. something ppl will blast him for. thats very feminine of him.
Unless there is an independent audit--nobody will believe what the real numbers are.
The fact that it was stated that GBP withheld the numbers due to Mayweather trying to settle his IRS liens is preposterous. THe IRS are not that stupid to settle a mult million dollar lien without having full knowledge of an individual's total income. Mayweather's total purse was contingent upon knowing the full PPV revenues and total gate proceeds. As a result, it wouldn't make sense for the IRS to have a tax lien satisfied without full knowledge of those numbers.
With all the boxing industry suffering domestically, and the rise of streaming, the figures are greater than i anticipated, however, they are short of the 1.8 million that Richard Schaefer of GBP predicted.
Kim is the one who believed a rumor and he's calling somebody else gullible?
Yeah... man up and say I got incorrect info. It isn't the worst thing in the world to admit you are wrong. It is worse to act like a ***** like Kim is doing.
Kim is the one who believed a rumor and he's calling somebody else gullible?
No. He didn't. He treated it as a rumor all along, and called it a rumor. The worst someone can say is he shouldn't have floated that out there but he never wrote that he believed that number to be fact or reported it that way.

Obviously, somebody is being pimped with the wrong number. LOL
Steve did mentioned the rumor about the "Sparadora" fight didn't he?
Truth shall (hopefully) prevail at the end. But the numbers keep changing...
I'll say this. Usually HBO releases the numbers. This time the numbers were released directly by Golden Boy and way, way after they should have been made public. For the first Mayweather PPV that I can remember, HBO had no role in those numbers being released to the press.
what your implying BP?
Flomos 1 month ago: "Fat Dan doesnt know sht about Boxing, dude is a fat accountant who has never boxed in his life or even burned more than 100 calories a day in his life"
Flomos Today: "Dan Rafael is prestigious and #1 Reporter in Boxing"
Flomos 3 months or whenever Fat Dan criticizes Froyd Duckweather: "That fat dan dont know chit, stupid pactard, dis guy is agenda, this y i only go 2 faighthype dey only tells da trooth
hehe this is somewhat true and it goes for pactards as well ...

The only difference is that Golden Boy released a press release. So Pactards & Floydiots, STFU because nobody goddamned won.

Another angry pactard hating on Money Mayweather :nonono:
For Steve Kim to be your favorite then you must read other writers/journalist...For Rafael to be your other favorite then I just don't know what to say...
