His dad taught him those fundementals but he chose not to use it. He definitely needs to start using it now since he slowed down and gets hit more.
:lol1: This dude thinks hitting the mitts for 8 second clips, and hitting the speedbag (which my gf can do) is supposed to somehow show how he's going to outbox Roy... even a 42 year old Roy... C'mon Son.
Looks like the press conference will be on Sunday for this fight. The showtimes will below on Ustream.

LDL-Live is in Atlanta This Week for the Roy Jones vs MAx Alexander Press Conference.
He's become delusional at this point. I can't help but stare at his chin when he talks now knowing how brittle it is.
I agree as of late he's more talk then anything now and hasn't backed it up in the ring when he really needed it too. Every time he steps up to #1 tier rank fighter he seems to even choke or get knocked out.
I wonder if he's gona cover up , move and establish a jab now.

Same.. I thought his big comeback would be against B-quit but I was let down. Then he kept getting knocked out cold and I was like Maaan just retire please and then when he said he wanted to keep fighting I was like fock it you take the risk.
And it's been a few times and somehow I feel suckered again into it because I still believe he has a little something left. *sigh* :tragedy:
Lol I agree in some fights he adapted his style pretty well and looks great, like when he fought Tito, he was nervous about Tito’s punching power early on so he did the Winky Wright style of defense kept his hands up and the same thing in the Lacy fight early on. He win’s the fights in good fashion then he gets cocky for his next match ala Joe C, Green. Then reverts back to his old ways thinking he’s back in his prime and usually pays for it. Roy needs to adapt his style for being slower since he is being easier to hit now. Most fighters he fights now all know his tricks and know exactly where to hit him to make him fall. But all in all I guess it could just be he needs money to pay the IRS which is why he taking more fights outside the USA now.
As for the Hopkins fight I put blame on both of them neither of them was doing anything. Hopkins would do his dirty tactics but when Roy did it back to him he goes and tries to win his Academy Award acting like he’s hurt the same stuff he was doing in the Joe C fight. Hopkins can dish it out but can’t take it when somebody does it to him. Roy was barely complaining all the stuff Hopkins was trying to do.
Im buying the PPV!!!!!!! Im excited Can't WAIT!!! I somtimes wish he would hang them up though can stand seeing my idol go down so bad.... I hope hes on steroids for this one.
We will see I've been let down before getting my hopes up, thinking the Roy of old will show up. Then it just becomes the same ol with Roy just talking to promote a fight.
