Who you got in this one??I hear there are real talks about this fight coming off,I hope so could be a good one..I can't call who I'm going with yet, tough fight to pick imo...
I don't think Alexander is that good at circling the ring and boxing. What eventually happens is the two end up brawling, and Ortiz wins that fight IMO. I like the style matchup for him.
I hope this fight happens. Not next for Ortiz though, Ortiz needs to actually earn a title shot.
I think it's a great next fight for him,if he passes up on the rematch..If he fights the rematch and wins and Alexander wins against Bailey I think it's the perfect fight for them...I really don't see a brawl happening tho..Alexander loves to clinch and tbh he is really strong, once Ortiz get's full head of steam Alexander will clinch him and move him back...
The thing I really don't like about Ortiz is his mentality when hit..By any punch as well a jab well discourage Ortiz if it's landing consistently..He fights like a fighter who can take punishment and keep coming, but then shows something different when in the actual fight...I think Alexander gives Ortiz a true boxing lesson..That's saying a lot about what I think of Ortiz, being the fact I agree with you about Alexander being limited in this(boxing ability)area...
i dont think ortiz is in the same league as alexander, ortiz might have an edge in power but in every other aspect alexander is superior imo. i think he can outbox him easily and i think he can hurt him just as badly as ortiz can hurt him. alexanders power isnt bad when he sits down on his shots and ortiz is an easy target without the best physical or mental punch resistance.
wouldnt be suprised if alexander retired him and im failry certain he will knock him out, would be shocked if he didnt win.

Alexander is too smart and skilled for Ortiz. He will keep the fight on the outside, circle the ring, throw combinations and clinch when Ortiz gets too close. Ortiz will get frustrated from not being able to get set and deliver his power shots and we all know what will happen next.

A lot of the time these polls become popularity contest more so then anything..But tbh this is a good thing,if this fight ever is made I won't have any problems landing a bet for easy E-points...
Easy bet, IMO.
Being the more exciting fighter =/= Being the better boxer. People think just because a boxer isn't exciting that he isn't capable.
Weren't these the same people that said Maidana was going to wipe out Alexander? How did that work out? He didn't even win a round.

The WW division, with Pacquiao and Mayweather (and Khan pretty soon), and you think Alexander has the fastest hands :lol1:
I think Khan and Alexander have comparable speed tbh,if I had to choose I would say Khans speed is more effective..I don't know if he is hands down faster...
I got Alexander , he can move real quick in and out, fastest hands at 147 IMO, has good power like Rome said he put away Urango
His problem with his power he doesn't sit down on his punches, he's too worried about getting in and out.
But that will be the way to beat Ortiz. Aside from the fact Devon has a world class chin.
I'll never understand all this hate on Devon.
I agree with your break down of the fight,I was up in the air at first..But I just think a fighter with any punch resistance and good to great fundamentals beats Ortiz..
I think the hate for Devon has to do with the fact he was a bit overrated on his come up and he did get a few gifts( I would not really call them robberies)it has added to the dislike of him..I don't mind Devon,he is a decent fighter with a solid resume to boot...

I actually feel more confident about picking Ortiz. He wouldn't break down twice in a row, and he'd be back in the underdog role against someone whose style isn't exactly going to keep him off.
I think Alexanders and dear I say skill level is better then Berto's(Ortiz best win)..I also believe he set's his power up better then Berto as well..He can catch Ortiz with punches he won't see coming..Let's not forget Devon KO'd Urango(a fighter that was never KO'd)and pretty much ended his career...I have not seen Urango since...I like Alexander in this one, maybe even by a KO...
I want to see this fight even more now...
