Cedric Boswell (35-1, 26 KO) has announced he will be challenging WBA heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (22-0, 15 KO) on December 3 in Helsinki, Finland. Boswell currently holds the WBC Latino and NABA heavyweight titles.
Boswell's only loss came eight years ago via 10th round technical knockout against Jameel McCline. Recent wins over Owen Beck and Oliver McCall place Boswell squarely in the cloud of heavyweight contenders nipping at the heels of the brothers Klitschko.
He is not the WBA hw champ, what a joke.
it is a joke for sure...wlad is the champ...the regular champ is the #1 contender but its the WBA's way of getting sanctioning fees...

rahman will get the winner.this boswell fight is in finland so rahman better hope boswell dont beat povetkin.if sasha wins he will face rahman in russia in 2012 but if he loses i guess rahman will still get his shot but a fight in the states wont get him nearly what a fight in russia would...we will see how true this is in the coming days...this sure puts an interesting twist on my previous posted article...
