Both guys impressed me so much Saturday, Linares for his skills and toughness and Demarco for his tenacity, Give it up!
I think Linares still has a future but if ever there was a time for him to move and use his legs Roach should have given him that advice, not tell him he needed him to take the fight to Demarco.
I think both guys have the potential to give us great fights in the future.

I sure don't remember him saying 'take the fight to him' during those high anxiety moments, but before that cut above his nose in the 6th, roach sensed something and just told him to work behind his jab...Linares did not, got cut and from there Roach emphasized the jab some more, Linares did start to work behind it and won like the next 3 rounds until the 11th...in the 11th, you're right he should have used his legs and not have traded with DeMarco. I know Freddie had mentioned to throw combinations, BUT to move out afterwards. I felt like that was a clear implication of movement. All that said, I'd be comfortable in picking Linares in a rematch. Terrific fight, however. Made the night worth it for me.
