Huge "Dinamita" fan myself, but I just can't get amped for this one. Maybe 24/7 will change that, but Pacquiao should've given Marquez his rubbermatch about a year after the rematch, IMO. It seems to me he's just been waiting on Marquez to get old, and with the added weight (we've seen how ineffective Marquez is past 135lbs), I can't honestly see this fight as being a fair one.
That said, I'll be watching and supporting Marquez. I just can't get myself amped up over it. Seems to me Pacquiao just wants to finally be able to look himself in the mirror and say "I beat Marquez" with a straight face.
I'm very excited about this fight.
Have you ever seen Pacquiao or JMM in a fan unfriendly fight?
I don't think so.
Uhhh did you ever see JMM vs. Derrick Gainer? It was like the fight just before the first Pac-Marquez fight...
PAC needs to win big or the triangle theory will get over used here
:haha: This is very true. But even if he wins Pactards will say he did it more convincingly than Floyd just as they did with the Hatton and De La Hoya fight.
I doubt Marquez will give Manny any problems at this weight but if he does the people who say Floyd beats Pac will only become more certain and vocal about their opinion.
i love a good blowout :D
even if its just a 4 round fight that ends in a brutal KO...we can just loop it and watch it over and over again while we play poker
like the Hatton fight...by the end of that night, i had memorized everything HBO said during the fight
You're going to end up enjoying this a little too much, lol.
I at first thought this fight would be somewhat competitive, almost like a more one sided version of their second fight (in Manny's favor). But now after seeing Marquez's recent sparring sessions I KNOW its going to be a blowout. Pacquiao is going to devastate Marquez so badly it makes me feel sorry for him.
Shocking...
noob, so you follow my posts talkin sh*t, and when good fight happens - you say shocking?
this is actually best figght so far, after having that stress over last 2 ppvs and marivella ducking fighters. Finally we will have mexican warrior who fights!
go Marquez
i wonder why some people think as if jmm is not preparing for this fight?
is this an early stage of discrediting manny if ever he wins?
what if jmm wins? jmm is not fighting manny with 1 hand tied on his back...
ok, so it seems to be going over a lot of you people's heads that marquez has been getting bombed on by slow dudes like kats and juan diaz. those guys were made to order for jmm and he would have never been hit that much, not even close to it back in '04 and '08.
it has nothing to do with floyd being so great or marquez being the aggressor.
jmm looked SLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWWW when he fought floyd at 147. he had no pop in his punches.
IMO, Marquez is always to give Pac trouble no matter what weight they're in. Marquez only looked ineffective against Floyd because he was the aggressor the entire fight, a style he's not used to. Marquez is used to opponents coming at him, not the other way around. I'm not saying that Marquez is going to beat Pac, but I think that this is going to be a war like the first two.
that's a good point. eventhough marquez did look a bit sluggish against mayweather, i think the big factor was that marquez was out of his element the entire fight. i expect this third fight to be a war only because marquez and pacquiao have that strong rivalry and both guys are warriors in the ring.
why wouldn't you be excited about this? it's gonna be entertaining that's one thing you can count on....wait, i said the same thing about the mosley fight...
Seeing Mosley just show up really depressed me and made me cynical of anyone. If Shane freaking Mosley only showed up for a check, who's to say Marquez won't do the same?

yeah but you seem to forget who he was fighting. i agree its not his best weight, but he was fighting floyd mayweather for fcuk sake!! a guy who had all the physical advantages over him aswell as being superbly talented. mayweather also has a ridiculous reach. by the time pac and marquez step in the ring they will be at similar weights like their 2 previous fights. the only difference this time is pac dont have to boil down to 130lbs.
Honestly, I'm pretty down about it. I know Marquez demanded the fight himself, but I just feel like he's being exploited. My expectation is that he's gonna get flattened, but that also means that if he does manage to pull off a good performance I'll be even happier.

me, not very excited at all........more excited for cotto-margs.
This is the first fight in a long time that Pacquiao isn't the obvious favorite, which is a good thing. At the same time you can't help but wonder if at this stage of his career and at this weight, if Marquez really has a chance, and this is coming from a huge Marquez fan.
I understand Marquez deserves respect because of the first two fights, but he's going to get creamed. Even if he puts up a good fight, Pacquiao's too good at welterweight compared to Marquez for any other result.
