He's probably at #10 or #11 right now, if he beats Dawson i imagine he'd be as high as #7. For those saying he should be a p4p top 5, who has he beaten lately of note to put him in with the likes of Pacquiao, Mayweather, Martinez, Donaire, JMM Marquez, or W. Klitschko? Beating Pascal was great of course but before that his last win of note was in 2008 against Pavlik. You may think he's still capable of cleaning out the LHW division but unless he's done it and done it recently he doesn't deserve that distinction, regardless of him be a sure-fired HOF.
Really no point in talking about resumes as they are fighting each other in two months time, but Froch has already lost in the Super Six (vs. Kessler, a man that Ward wiped out) and won another highly controversial decision that most felt was a hometown decision (vs. Dirrell, a man that ducked Ward).
In terms of skills, Ward is faster and moves better. Froch kept getting tagged repeatedly by Glen Johnson's right hand in his last fight. A fighter like Ward would have made an adjustment after 1 round, a fighter like Froch had to fight through it while continuing to get tagged the entire fight by the same punch. Ward is more versatile, he can fight dirty if need be, he is the total package. Froch only has a puncher's chance against Ward.
I never said he was a better skill wise but in terms of his resume he does deserve to be P4P over Ward. He's faught better competition Pascal, Taylor, Kessler no head butts to throw him off his game, Abraham and then Johnson who can make anyone look mediocre but he handled him better than i expected. Yea you can say Ward has better skill, but based on Frochs willingness to leave home his laft 4 fights to get wins and belts he gets the P4P nod over Ward to me. But it will all be figured out when they fight.
Resume ! = Better Pound for Pound ranking
Ward has dominated every opponent he's been in with in the Super Six.
Froch should've lost to Direll. That prolly pushed him back. He then loses to Kessler...that pushed him back. While Ward destroyed the man who defeated Froch, who everyone thought would beat Ward and was considered the favorite of the tournament. Then Ward defeats Green in unexpected wipeout fashion. But this same Green gave Johnson a competitive fight even Johnson KO'd his ass. Froch did destroy Abraham which put him up. Ward then proceeds to defeat Bika in a competitive, yet still dominant performance. Froch then defeats Johnson in a competitive fight but still wasn't that dominant to where he'd jump through the rankings. Then Ward dominates an arguably more dangerous Abraham who was better than he was in the Froch fight cuz of his desperation.
So its only natural that Ward is higher because all 4 of his performances were of wide margins, while only 2 of 4 had Froch's clearly winning.
Extremely bias post on all acounts the bit at the end about Ward fighting a better Abraham because of desperation is straight up laughable.
Ward is P4P above Froch. Quite clearly, might I add.
Far from clear there can be a very strong argument made that Froch should be ahead of Ward currently p4p wise you are kidding yourself if you think its clear.
Froch has fought better opposition over the last 2 years or so than anyone in boxing.

I honestly feel like Bernard doesn't need to be on the P4P list... He's a guy whose career has transcended the typical awards and achievements that up and coming guys and even veterans still fight for.
We all know B-Hop is one of the top 5 P4P whether his name is on the list or not. We all know B-Hop has made millions on top of millions whether he talks about it or not. We all know B-Hop is all-time whether people talk about it or not.
What he has done is unprecedented as far as I know... The 20 title defenses were amazing and I thought he was going to hang 'em up after the loss to J. Taylor. But look up, Taylor is pretty much out of the game and B-Hop is still at it.
Putting B-Hop on the P4P won't matter as much as it would to Dawson whose career is still in the making and whose legacy is being defined.
Bernard will be one of those guys who in 100 years will be known for not giving a fu*k and lacing up with whomever whenever. P4P rankings won't matter now because when he was whipping ass and taking names, he was always in the top 3
I believe The Ring had Hopkins at #10 P4P before Floyd re-entered after the Ortiz fight, so Hopkins sits at #11 right now. If hr wipes Dawson out, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get the nod over Ward and Segura up to #8.
Bernarde should definatly be in the P4P, if he wins tonight he has to make top 10.
Ward shouldn't be in the P4P over Froch, to be honest after the top 6 it could go in a couple diffent directions.
annex wonjonkam for christ's sake
i dont have any problem with the winner getting back on the p4p list.\
this is a big fight
i'd also pick dawson, given a year or so, to beat every cruiserweight on the planet
and most of the HW. a lot of those guys are fat.
