Welterweight titlist Vyacheslav Senchenko (32-0, 21 KOs) of Ukraine will make a mandatory defense against American Brad Solomon (17-0, 7 KOs) after Senchenko's promoter, Union Boxing Promotions, won a purse bid this week for a stunning $1.1 million. As titleholder, Senchenko is entitled to 75 percent of the winning bid ($825,000), with Solomon due 25 percent ($275,000, a career high by far). Heavyweight Factory, Solomon's promoter, which offered $200,000, was the only other bidder. The date and venue for the fight aren't set, although it will likely take place in Ukraine, where Senchenko has fought all but three of his bouts. Solomon hasn't fought since a career-best victory against Demetrius Hopkins (by lopsided decision) in March.

Well it is about damn time Solomon announces his next fight, he gets a great opportunity to put a title around his waist
he is going to need a KO or a SHUT OUT to get the win though, I think he can get it, no disrespect to Senchenko, but Solomon Style and Speed is going to give him MAJOR PROBLEMS
Probably because they were afraid that Solomon's promoter was going to put in a competitive bid and stage the fight in the US. So they decided to be extra sure with their bid. Senchenko doesn't have a hope in the world against Solomon, but in the Ukraine there is absolutely no chance that Solomon gets the decision, and Solomon doesn't have much power. The Ukrainians get to keep a belt around their countryman's waist, and they keep selling tickets to more of Senchenko's voluntary defense mismatches against obscure Venezuelans. No belt, no Ukrainians will come out to watch Senchenko.
Look at these retards. It's probably because they don't whant him getting robbed like Kotelnyk did in America. Kashtanov just fought Balzsay in Ukraine in Kashtanov's hometown and Balzsay was given the decision, i had it 7-5 Kashtanov.
Holt took Hopkins' 0.
Remebered the Holt fight; Hopkins taking it on short notice and still giving Holt a tough fight, but rushed the edit. 2 undefated and a 1 loss fighter on FNF isn't bad though.
Senchenko is a pretty decent fighter, so Solomon is really going to have to put outclass him to win in the Ukraine.

Good to see another Solomon supporter. He's underrated here, even though he's pretty much shut down 3 different fighters on FNF.
No soft touches either; 3 undefeated fighters (Hopkins, Galarza, and Robinson) 2 with difficult styles (D. Hopkins and Robinson). He handled Hopkins difficult counterpunching and defensive style as good as you can expect; He handled a 6'2 southpaw better than Shawn Porter (who arguably lost his fight against Robinson); and Galarza was just tailor made for him.
If Solomon had power, he'd be the complete package.

those ukraineans sure have a lot of money to toss around. but more importantly, he's fighting a mandatory. which tells me the brook fight could be off. there is only 1 mandatory defense required each year, unless they choose to fight brook as voluntary, which i doubt......
