What do you think is his ceiling in terms of drawing power? I don't think he will be a superstar/PPV draw but a Shane Mosley type draw is very possible. Mosley was known by the mainstream media but he was never really a big time money maker, Mosley was the poster boy of the so called "B side" of the promotion.
also Bradley needs to be more EDGY and CONTROVERSIAL if he wants to be a star, all that "NICE GUY SAYING ALL THE RIGHT THINGS"...that is BORING
then again you don't want to come off as "WEIRD" like Oritz did lol...Ortiz dropped the ball on ANY CHANCE OF HIM BECOMING A STAR during the Mayweather Build Up, he has NO CHARISMA and all he did was try to build up sympathy for himself with the "I HAVE NO PARENTS" stuff
Yeah Ortiz is weird as fuk. But hes good lookin (no homo) and has that hard luck story to sell. Plus he is in exciting fights.
Bradley has no story. He goes on about how hes from the "mean streets of Palm Springs" :lol1:
Really? Palm Springs?

LOL you are so right,Ortiz came off as very odd and was a bit boring as well...

they don't have to "MAKE HIM ANYTHING" all they have to do is put him in big fights and IF he wins them all, then he becomes a Star...as far as being a Superstar like Mayweather or Pacquiao....that is DOUBTFUL! Even if he was to fight and beat both of them, he still won't be as big of a Draw as they are
I don't think we will see another Boxer consistently Sale 1 Million PPV's everytime they fight again after Pacquiao and Mayweather
He certainly won't become a superstar by beating guys like Casamayor and Morales. He's not going to be much because Top Rank will keep him in fights that will get him criticized for doing the same thing Pacquiao's doing. He has to fight top fighters in their prime, and impress, in order to get respect. Respect comes before stardom and at the rate he's going, it will be a long road. Bradley may have been better off with Gary Shaw. With Top Rank, the best fighters form other promotional brands will be avoided in favor of easier, in house fights that will make people lose respect for him. I still want him to fight Amir Khan. With Khan rolling with GBP, I'd say it'll never happen. He moved to Top Rank so he can duck fighters.
Can't agree with this post,TR has good ties with every other promoter outside of GBP..I want a Bradley Khan fight as well, but Khan is not the only fighter fighting that will get Bradley respect...Bradley Berto Bradley Cotto Bradley Jones just to name a few...There are other fighters out there bro..As far as respect goes Bradley is a two time unified Champ undefeated and has beat most of the top comp at 140lb,if ya don't have respect for him already you will never have respect for him..And tbh should just say F Timmy B I don't like him, because that would be the truth...
I think it all depends on what the true boxing fan wants to see in the future. Me, I want to see a fighter that always come to the ring ripped and in shape. I want to see a guy that thinks he is the best and is willing to get in the ring with anyone and prove it. I want to see a guy that takes pride in calling himself a champion and fighting like one.
Like Bradley or not, this guy is the real deal. He reminds me of Hagler or a Terry Norris. Those 2 guys became stars in their own right but never reached Leonard's star power. So no, I don't think he will ever reach Manny's or Floyd's level of superstardom, but will still be a hall of famer one day.
If you think back, Floyd was around 30 when he finally got his big break at superstardom against Oscar. He had to play the villian role to reach that level, because most people don't appreciate his skill level. I can't imagine Tim playing that role. What is going to make Tim a star, will be him defeating Manny in an exciting war in the ring. People love a slugfest and people love rooting for the underdog. That's what Tim will bring in the ring against Manny. The whole world will tune in to see Manny destroy this so-called-overhyped challenger, but will be stunned to see how good this guy really is.Win or lose, it will be explosive enough to setup a rematch. The ones that didn't tune in to see the 1st fight will tune in to this one to see who this hardnosed kid is that's giving Manny fits. If he loses in the rematch, then he becomes a b-side type of attraction. If he wins it, then he can take Manny's spot as a huge draw.
I think Bradley is the guy to beat Manny. And with the welterweight division stacked with so much talent and big fights, if Arum gets him in their with these guys, then he can become a major force in boxing. The next mega fight would be Bradley vs Khan. But, Khan would have to follow the same path against Floyd. Khan has the style to beat Floyd, but doing it is something completely different. If Floyd beats Khan, then the world will be screaming for Bradley vs Mayweather. That also can take Tim to the top of the sport and make him a huge draw.
I wish this kid had KO power because he would already be a huge star. He's beaten all the top guys at 140 with the exception of Khan. I agree with him not fighting Khan at this point because fighting him 2 or 3 years from now will make much more money when Manny and Floyd are gone.I think he does have charisma and a good story. He's a family man and a hardworker. He's the typical blue collared American that most people can relate to. The problem is, most people don't want to watch an African American fighter be a nice guy. They want to see him act ignorant. They want to see him act like Tyson used to or how Floyd acts now.(Which is very good acting on both of those guys part) That's not who Timothy Bradley is. He's a good kid with a beautiful family. The sad part is...that will work against him as a black fighter in todays society. So yes, Top Rank can make Bradley a superstar, but Tim will have to beat the Giants like Manny and Floyd to get there. Or he will have to sell out and take acting classes and be the SUPER VILLIAN that the world expects black fighters to be.
I agree with this post 100%..

Bradley just does not have any personality. But neither does Cotto or Klits & winning make you the man. If Tim beats every top guy easily, he will be a "star" just not a "superstar".
I highly doubt it. I don't think Bradley is exciting enough inside the ring, or compelling enough outside of it to drum up interest beyond hardcore fans.

Bradley can't sellout an elevator. They just picked him up to be a Pacquiao victim for now and then hopefully he can be something within the Welterweight division with the Victor Ortiz and Paulie Malignaggi types.
Top Rank can put him in position getting him big fights but only Tim Bradley can walk through that door and make himself a star.
As long as he can keep winning he will be fairly successful though, but superstar that is tough a lot has to go right to reach that level but really it is all on Tim Bradley taking advantage of the positions he get put in.
This right here is....:fing02:

NO. My sofa has more personality. He does not have KO power will also hurt him.
Time to bite some ears off Tim.
The need to market Bradley as a fanatical born again Christian pastor.
Imagine him crashing the Mayweather press conference with bible in hand calling Floyd the devil and throwing holy water on him.
I would pay to see that.
Why is everybody saying his personality? So who has that super swag, huh?
Manny with his " uh uh uh". Or Margarito with his Los tigre del norte sunglasses on. Damn and Margarito even needs a translator. He can't even answer the questions. So if anything his translator has the personality. lol. The list goes on and on. I dont think he will be a megastar, but with that other sh!t Gtfo.
Manny and Margarito are exciting fighters.
As for Margarito, he exudes far more charisma and personality than Bradley without having to speak a word of English

Are you kidding me? Margarito's core fanbase knows how to speak Spanish. :sigh1:

no ... he has zero personality, ugly as fuk, and a boring style ( heeadbutss everywhere)
