He tried to fight anyone on HBO, for over a year, but didn't get anything. From Smith to Manfredo to Paul Williams to Martinez to Sturm to Andy Lee, he tried to get any name opponent but couldn't get anything. Can't blame Pirog for any of that. On the flipside, Darren Barker fought no one. He never fought in the US and never fought on HBO. there is no excuse to fight barker but not pirog. You can't logically justify it other than saying "it's an easy fight for martinez" in which you then admit martinez avoided pirog to fight an unknown easy fight. are you ****ing serious you honestly think HBO would give this no name a date? he should have fought on an undercard tried to build his name hell he should have went to Germany and fought Sturm they never even tried to make that fight and were more then happy defending his paper belt against bums in Russia
