Is Samuel Peter Slowly Turning Into A Journyman?

Ever since I saw this, I've liked Sam Peter: LoL................. what fight was this after? I wonder if he's still thanking Jesus...

His next fight is against a 9-0 prospect. He's officialy out of the title picture now, and looks to be getting used for up & coming european prospects looking to add a good name on there record etc Robert Helenius, Vyacheslav Glazkov. He also looks like he dosent train that hard any more which is another bad sign and hasn't beat a ranked contender in years. Will Samuel Peter evetually turn into a journyman for up & coming prospects full stop? when did he ever train hard? he was always a fat bum with no skills, in any other era he would be sweaping up the gym and carrying spit buckets. hes lucky to get paid to fight period.

This made me like him more as well. I prefer the Who Nesh video as well. Gotta give credit there, that still makes me laugh.

he had a chance. good power. good hand speed. but like most heavyweights today, no dedication. fat and lazy. Peter's power was overrated in my opinion and he was never more than a crude slugger in a weak era. At one point he showed improvement in tbe2nd Toney fight but never followed up. In hindsight it was more the decline of Toney than the improvement of Peter.

what's that worth though? he would never be a champ if boxing was run correctly and there weren't a bunch of bogus champs. congrats you were probably the 3rd or 4th best heavyweight at one time whee! I don't disagree with that, but do you disagree with him winning/holding it? While I agree that there shouldn't be multiple champs, him winning that belt isn't anywhere near the level of what we have going to at like JMW/MW right now, where only a few of the actual top guys have a belt. I mean, Sam grabbed the interim belt, beat Maskaev hot off of knocking Rahman into another dimension, and fought Vitali Klitscko in his first defense. I'd say he was a pretty decent champion during his short run.

I don't know if journeyman is the right term; he still beat's anyone that's not top-ten quality's ass any day of the week; just ask Nagy Aguilera. Sam is a former champion who is going to retire with a WBC heavyweight championship belt hanging on his wall. Nowadays he's collecting checks to fuel whatever it is he's going to do with the rest of his life. He's had a good career, and since he didn't have a long championship run, fighting up and coming guys for decent paydays is probably the best route for him now as long as he isn't risking his health. He's only 31 (seriously??), I hope he keeps fighting as long as he comes in the ring in much better shape than he was against Helenius. Why can't we have Arreola-Peter? Gatekeeper - yes. Journeyman - no. Sam Peter's days as a top ranked contender are probably over but I wouldn't write him off so quickly against the young and relatively inexperienced Glazkov. I don't know what Sam Peter has been up to since the Helenius loss but, who knows? Maybe's he's rededicated himself to the sport or has kept himself in shape. Plus, he still has pretty good hw power in both hands and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he KO'd this guy...

nothing slow about it, and he isn't "turning" after he quit against Vit and got beat by Chambers, he was done funny fatass Peter was supposed to be the man 6-7 years ago he won 1 belt, lost it in his 1st defense, and now just a tubby bum

its not like he is losing to bums...he had some good wins in his career & is a former world champion...i have mentioned on occasion that there was rumors sam peter is older then what he claims to be much like many africans & latinos have done in pro sports...example miguel tejada in baseball was called out on a talk show by the host in houston.he had a copy of tejadas real birth certificate...i believe he was almost 4 years older then he claimed to be...i think he was almost 37 & said he was 33...he apologized to the astros & admitted his lie...peter may have done the same thing.no proof but it was a rumor circulating a few years back...

Ever since I saw this, I've liked Sam Peter: That's pretty cool. I respect people who believe in something and are not ashamed to let the world know. He seems like a nice guy.

I still want to see him get beat up.

He lost to the first good HW he fought and he basically loses to all of the good HW's. I don't know how he was anything other than a gatekeeper. He's like what Edison Miranda is. Just a big puncher who will lose any big fight. Peter lost to both Klitschko's, Eddie Chambers, the Helenius dude, shoulda lost to James Toney once and that Toney was way past it. He got a couple of decent wins but so does Miranda, that's why i'm comparing them.
