I think Khan should not move up in weight right now, I think this time next year he should move up in weight and not chase the Mayweather fight so badly, It will take a couple of years for Floyd to come back from vacation anyway, Also I would rather see Khan fight at 140lbs against Morales, Rios, and Guerrero.
Khan is alot more active than Bradley and Mayweather who both fight once a year, Pacman fights about twice, and Khan fights three times. I would rather see Morales because he has the WBC, Rios and Guerrero than three welterweights like Brook, Alexander, ?Clottey?
IMO Morales is irrelevant at 140.. He's done nothing to prove he's a worthy title-holder. Just a paper champ. Khan trounces him.
Rios has done nothing at the division and isn't moving up in weight until next year so it's hard to see a fight between them even being made.. Khan UD's him though but has some scary moments, maybe even gets knocked down once or twice.
Khan-Guerrero would be a great fight but I favour Khan to win by a clear, but close, UD. Maybe something like 115-113 or 115-112.
Guerrero is injured though and won't be back until Jan-Feb, and will want some tune-up fights at the weight before taking on the best in the division so I can't see Khan-Guerrero ever happening unless Guerrero moves up to 147 having won titles at 140 in order to further increase his profile (non-boxing fans don't know who he is, especially in the UK).
Khan should move up in weight and take on Brook. Brook should have the WBA title if everything goes to plan and beats Senchenko early next year. Khan beats Brook..
He should then try to unify against Berto for the IBF title. Maybe late 2012 he should fight Mayweather, but I'm hoping Pac-Mayweather happens then. So late 2012 Khan should probably fight Ortiz.
Fighting prime-Brook, prime-Berto and prime-Ortiz is better than fighting a past-prime Morales, a fresh from injury Guerrero, still in his prime but who hasn't fought at 140, and Rios (prime) who hasn't fought at 140.
move to 47 unless bradley fights him...rios and guerrero esp are irrelevant at that weight, no need to wait for them...and he gets nothing by beating erik.....i think he should go straight for berto and then fight the homo floyd jr after....
Think he should stay at Light-Welter for another 12 months, if he beats Peterson (tricky fight but should prove to be too good) then re-match Maidana, wins that he'll have tremendous respect from most in the boxing world. Then after that try and get the Bradley fight before moving up to 147. Wouldn't mind seeing him fight Prescott either and shut a few idiots up once and for all.
Please don't fight Morales, personally I'd like to see him retire and go out on a high.
Once he goes upto 147 the worlds his oyster, in 2 years time I think he's in a position where he can beat Floyd and become p4p number 1. A fight against Floyd next year = not a chance for Amir.
Really? Then why the hell does he suck so badly? lol the dude barely squeaked by a guy who lost to ToMatto Can Hatton...smh
As for Khan, I would prefer if he stayed there a little longer but the money is up north. I'd like to see him face the Holt-Garcia winner, Matthysse, Soto (if he gets by Maidana, which I'm confident he will) and Bradley at 140. Rios isn't ready yet. He'd get KO'ed early.
It's nice to see a Khan fan that speaks the truth & keeps it real. I personally feel Khan needs to beat these guys, he needs more experience before even thinking of fighting Floyd. He'd have a much better chance if he didn't rush by going to 147 & fighting shot fighters.
IMO he needs to still take risks at 140, pull through, get upto 147 have an easier fight to adjust to the weight & fight a few riskier guys. If he's to have any chance of beating Floyd he needs the experience & to not rush the fight.
The only reason a lot are saying he is too big for 140 is because they either know **** about boxing, they are a bias Khan fan or are fooled by the kid being rather top half heavy.
He is only 1"-2" taller than most of the top 10 at 140 he seems to avoid like the plague & appears bigger because his legs aren't carrying much mass.
It's rather obvious he will trot off to 147 & have it all easy by fighting a 40 odd yr old Mosley who is a shell of his former self & can no longer pull the trigger to get a big name on his resume.
He won't take risks by fighting the likes of Randall Bailey, Berto, Jones, Brook etc
If he does fight a tall 147 it'll be someone with light-average power like Brad Solomon.
''Yes Stay, To fight Morales, Rios, Guerrero''...LOL! HAHA! Oh LOL!
The only people that want to see him fight those guys are Khan fans because there is very little risk in seeing him fighting any of those much much smaller guys.
If Khan gets past Peterson which I fully expect him to I would like to see him rematch Maidana or Prescott (either one mainly to shut up critics) and go on to defeat Matthysse (Who I personally see giving Khan hell based on styles) Either Matthysse or the winner of Holt v Garcia.
If he does that which isn't me asking for an awful lot before snaking off to 147 then he'll at least have my respect.
Senchenko is trained by Freddie Roach LOL!

You want to watch him fight morales??? :dunno:
clottey said he's going to 154. that said, khan should move up to 147. hatton, brook, alexander, berto, and ortiz, that's some good competition. perhaps he could even chase down that senchenko guy and snatch that belt, haha.

You think he is going to get weight drained? I think Ariza will make sure that doesnt happen, But yeah he is clearly getting bigger.
I think he can do one more fight at 140 and be strong. But he's a pretty big guy. I actually think he'll be more effective at 147. He's taller then most welterweights and has a longer reach then most welterweights.
If he stays at JWW, the fight i'd like to see is against Guerrero. Maybe Bradley, but I doubt Bradley really wants to fight him. He'll just price himself out again.
One more fight at JWW max. He's more built like a welterweight. He'll start getting weight drained if he stays much longer.
