Khan v Bradley is a poor man's Pacquaio v Mayweather, A fight that everyone wants to see but for a variety of reasons can not be made.
I know there have been a number of polls about this made but they seem to be made after a Khan win or after a Bradley win so they tend to be heavily influenced because people will pick the one who just won the last fight.
Alot of people think Bradley is still number #1 in the division having unified the titles TWICE in the division, Having faced Holt, Peterson, Witter, Alexander etc and because Bradley is still undefeated and "100% all natural" African American male with no PED usage.
Alot of people including myself think Khan has surpassed Bradley by the level of competition, Kotelnik, Maidana, Malignaggi, McCloskey, Judah, and Peterson soon ALL top 10 ranked when Khan defeated them! Not just that Khan is the youngest British olympic boxer to win a medal and the third youngest British boxing world champion in history, Also he has more P4P credentials having fought at lightweight and moving up to light welter and eying a move to welter. But he has lost before!
So you folks vote on the poll! Results are public.
bradley also has one of the most lethal headbutts in the history of the sport. That should count for something.
I would like to see Floyd try to withstand that forehead.
Bradley is really good. I think he could even beat Khan (though i would bet Khan as of today most likely).
Most of the hate he receives is because people generally can't stand a ducker. If he would have just been honest about his situation, and not made a fool of himself (building brand bradley, saying hes coming for Khan etc) he wouldn't receive all the criticism hes gotten.
I mean Khan's best career wins are Maidana, Malignaggi, and Kotelnik. Bradley's best career wins are Alexander, Holt, Peterson, Witter and Vazquez. IMO. I mean if you wanna talk about who have they fought recently?
Bradley: Alexander, Abregu, Peterson
Khan: Judah, McCloskey, Maidana.
Bradley has 2 good wins in his last 3, Khan has only 1 good win in his last 3.
If activity makes you #1, and it doesn't even matter who have you been fighting while you've so "active" then boxing fucking sucks.
Well, since Khan moved up, this is their opposition.
Bradley: Peterson, Abregu, Alexander (Campbell = NC so not counting that)
Khan: Kotelnik, Salita, Malignaggi, Maidana, Mccloskey, Judah
Just look at the sheer activity level of both fighters.
Kotelnik and Alexander is worth about the same.
Maidana is a better win than Peterson.
The rest is clearly Khans. Malignaggi, mccloskey and judah are not worldbeaters but they are solid fighters.
(not to mention Alexander could be viewed as a worse win, because in a lot of peoples books hes had two losses against kotelnik and Mathysse).
I think Khan is easily the #1 ranked jr welter currently.
And that won't change with their next set of tasks. Peterson vs. current casamayor? :lol1:
*oh and the whole Bradley ducking khan thing. But i won't even mention that

Alexander is utter bollox. He was coming off a loss.

That has nothing to do with what I was pointing out. My point is you NEVER drop fighters due to inactivity(as long as that guy isn't retired). You drop a guy because of in ring performance, not outside it.
and you rank based on somewhat recent results.
What's your point? When Floyd Mayweather fights 2 times over the last 4 years does that make him any less of a fighter when he returns? No it doesn't. You can't just make certain cut offs just to make your arguement sound more convincing.
Floyd fights once a year and has done so for years, But PacMan fights two/three times a year againt top level opposition, Mayweather blatantly does not want to fight Pacquaio.
Technically Bradley beat Alexander when they were both ranked 1 and 2. So Bradley would still be ranked #1 even tho Khan beats his ass.
Bradley would easily beat anyone Khan has fought within the last year with the exception of Maidana. Bradley would toy with Judah and Mccloskey and he already beat a undefeated Peterson.
Ranked 1 and 2 on what?

Before i thought it was harsh to remove Bradley from his number 1 spot because of his lack of activity ( normally it's a year before a fighter gets removed from rankings i think) but based on who Bradley and Khan are fighting next, i think Bradley should drop a spot and Khan should be number 1 at 140.
If they were to fight, i think Bradley would win though.
Khan's handspeed and size advantage will give Tim problems. His chin won't be much of an issue since Bradley doesn't really have KO power.
Khan > Bradley
