Im verry impressed by Proksa! Too bad the cut happened, i would have wanted to see how Proksa would look in the later rounds, if he would have tired or something like that. But im verry impressed! Without the cut it propably wouldnt last much longer either, i think maybe 5-6 rounds.
Bad matchmaking from Sauerland, they thought he was another guy just looking good on paper with a padded record and seriously i thought the same. Another reminder to never judge a fighter if you have never seen him fight.
Now Proksa should defend the european title 2-3 times and then go for the real belts.
Proksa should go for Sturm now.
Even though this fight only went 3 rounds, Proksa dominated every minute and looking like a superstar in the making while doing so. Nice moves, flashy style and a cocky attitude. He could be on his way to something big.

great performance by proksa, deff would like to see more of him. hopefully he gets a crack at some more top middleweights and not just stay in europe fighting undermatched opposition. great head movement and pop to his shots, kid's got tremendous potential. him and pirog have very unique styles for europeans...i dig it. :fing02:
some of these Euro fighters are very talented. The downside is they have difficult names to remember. Which will hurt they're popularity here in the states.
Dzinziruk,Grzegorz Proksa, Senchenko,Stieglitz etc
I also only first heard of him today and checked some of his older fights and training videos and this kid has tremendous talent. He is going to be a future absolute star in Poland.
I was quite surprised when I read the result of this fight. Sylvester isnt amazing, but he is definitely a solid contender, and nobody dealt with him in such quick dominant fashion as Proksa did.
this was an impressive performance, although his style seems like it would be risky against a more offensive fighter.
I definitely will keep my eye out for Proksa in the future, and look forward to seeing him in future fights.
