people have just been getting sick of the unwarranted Martinez hype and they're using this opportunity to vent and remind everybody he's not as good as people here say he is yea he might not be incredible like people were hyping him but he is still top 10 p4p almost any way u cut it

he was comming was covering up and throwing just enough punches to kepp himself in te fight that is one of the best ways to survive trust me i have had to do it before

That's exactly what I think. It kinda reminded me of Pacquiao vs Clottey, since Barker also had a hard defense and held his hands up all night long. Everyone who has practiced boxing knows that is very hart to beat a guy that throws a low amount of punches and has his hands in his face during the entire fight. No, it wasn't Sergio's best performance, but IMO he did a good job anyway. Barker in the end was KOd because of the accumulation of punches, a lot of guys says he took a dive, but IMO he was just very tired and all those punches that were partially blocked by his hands were accumulating and in the end he wasn't able to stand them. Even the punches that are partially blocked by the arms are painful and have an effect in the fighter who's taking them.

100% agree barker had his guard up like 99% of the fight trying to not get hit, and martinez still knocked his ***** ass out. It was like clottey vs pac, except martinez turned it up late in the fight and landed a bomb Oh I will apologise on Darrens behalf for not having his hands at his waist like Sergio...
