and that is he refused to let his opponent stink up the fight, Martinez was purposely leaving him self open so that Barker would engage he worked the body and wore him down and forced the knock out. fighting an opponent who wasn't even trying to win the fight too scared to let his hands go just trying not to get KTFO
give credit where credit is do Martinez refused to let Barker do what Clottey and Mosley did to Manny Pacquiao
One thing that tripped me out was that Donaire was the bigger man but still didn't try to man handle him. Narvaez is not a knock out artist either.
True he has the size advantage in almost all of his fights but its not easy to crack the defense of a boxer that didn't come to fight it takes skills man
The comparison to Pacquiao doesn't work here.
Mosley moved away from Pacquiao all night- like he was trying out for the U.S. track team in round 11. Barker kept coming toward Sergio all night. Huge difference.
they both fought very cautious fight neither wanted to engage and both didn't want to get KTFO

STFU... wifebeater couldn't stop a JMM or Baldomir or Mosley
I think he was making the comparison about wife-CHEATER (Pac), not Floyd. It doesn't stop you from mentioning Floyd with every post though,eh?
I'd love to see either of them fight him. Problem is, he's not a draw. Ortiz wasn't either of course, but much less risk since he had virtually no chance.
Pac-Marquez will do better money wise then Pac-Sergio would, and since Pac is totally broke according to this board he has to think about money, right?
Again, I'd love to see one of them fight him. But I understand why it isn't happening.
you do know that it was Martinez vacated belt that Manny won at 150 right? he had to chose between his 160 and 154 so he decided to keep the MW since Pac wasn't interested only to fight a guy the same size after that

It would be really easy to promote Martinez.
And Bradley is a bigger draw than Martinez (he's considered to be the next opponent)?
Then they should prove it.

THIS...
I've said all along that Sergio is overrated, maybe some people realized that tonight. I mean, he's without a doubt the best MW in the world, but it's a very weak division at the moment.
To rank him above Nonito P4P is the biggest joke I've ever heard of.
Both Manny and Floyd would beat him, like I've also said before.
Then they should prove it.
Get Pacquiao in the ring with some Eurobum you never heard of and I guarantee you a nice highlight reel KO :boxing:

Mosley succeeded in lulling Pac to sleep
not Clottey though
Pac-Clottey was an exciting exhibition by Pac, just not competitive
You're kidding right? Yes Clottey was the reason the fight was a stinker but an exciting exhibition? Hey I might be wrong though since I was snoozing by the time it got to rd 4.
Pur Barker equivalent in with Pac and then you will see fool.
Mosley is pretty much on that level at his point in his career actually he might be worse then Barker
like the other guy said its these Pactards who are all upset becaues Martinez said somethings about Pac they didnt like thats LAME. unlike Pac in the Clotty fight Martinez was able to force the KO
Pac did purposely leave himself open so that Clottey would engage. Pac also worked Clottey's body tirelessly throughout that entire fight. The problem was that Clottey wouldn't engage, Barker did.
I don't agree with the people criticizing Martinez, but I agree with the bold.
After the fight, I think Pac or Roach said that that was their game plan. They wanted to leave gaps in Pac's offense to entice Clottey out of his shell and trap him into engaging. But Clottey never bit...not enough anyway.
I give credit to how Sergio looked in there more to Barker, who had a good game plan defensively and was able to stick to it for a few rounds at least.
But ultimately, Sergio never seemed to get frustrated, tried different things, and got the KO. I can't be mad at that.
what people need to realize is this could have been an easy boring UD for Martinez by simply just outworking him every round and then blame Barker for being a pussy post fight but Martinez wanted non of that

Quit comparing a guy who loves to box with guys that love to bang...and the thread had nothing to do with Floyd lol.
